The last event I didn't cap hard and killed it... This event I capped hard and struggled.. Go figure??? MMA is a frusterating sport to bet on at times..

All this capping of fights til your blue in this face sometimes just isn't worth it.. Personally speaking... I took a look at this event the other day and called the fights without capping in depth in this 12 team parlay below.. I came up with this 12 teamer and lost only 2... I know these fighters though.. Post #21 on this thread for proof.. I got away from my original pick choices in other words after capping the fights in depth and reading all the MMA articles...

I honestly think I do better with MMA betting when I don't cap in depth more often then not, just think of the fighters and their style matchups, sherdog records to see who's hot and not and keep it simple... Then go with it...

Just trying to improve my MMA betting game and posting and thinking out loud..... Might start going back to the basics when I first came on this forum.. Hmmm?

i thought Mir was one of the easiest bets of the year and then he goes out and fights like that were the possibility of getting knocked out was real. My goodness after the fight he talks about being technical like i thought he would fight. Just tough betting this sport and hoping some of these nuts fight to their strengths and not the other guys.

I give Mir a chance against Arlovski, Werdum, or Stipe if he fights like he did last night.. Cain V will murder Mir with is his pace and wrestling..

I don't ever remember seeing Mir stand and swing in the pocket balls out like he did last night.. Fighting the smaller man in Duffee and coming off the Big Foot KO must have done wonders for his confidence going in or something.....

Mir has been working a lot on his hands lately, that's why you saw this confidence. Mir is very hot and cold with how into fighting he is, sometimes he's doing shit on the side.
He's coming on strong right now, and age is now much of a factor in the heavy weight division. Though, those 3 are going to be hard, honestly thing he stands the best chance against Werdum. He could get the KO against the others, but Stipe likely grinds him out and Arlovski lays him out.

I think Tony Ferguson discovered a new way to defend takedowns.. Possibly a new technique of fighting style all together.. The monkey roll style was used effectively to avoid strikes, avoid TD, and roll out of bad grappling exchanges anyways...

My buddy bought 3 tickets, including one for me. He pulled the trigger on the terrace level (nose bleeds) for the Sports Arena for last night's UFC in SD. When we showed our tickets, lady directed us to go to another table where everyone would get a free seat upgrades. We ended up in the first row of the Loge section, right above the floor section.

Those strikes were love taps when the kid was on his back. Lets be honest. I thought the fight was scored right to be honest.
