McGregor's last 2 fights (also his biggest) happened on short notice for his opponent. A little over a months notice was all Brandao had. Too lazy to look at Holloway's notice time but it was short notice for sure. I'm a little curious if this kid has just had some luck on his side. He has a TON of finishes in Ireland but he also had 2 sub. losses which is troublesome for a guy facing Poirier. At around +250, I think Dustin may be the play at +250. I worry about him getting into a fire fight with a guy like Conor, but Dustin isn't an amateur on his feet either. Any opinions on this? I really think this fight comes down to bjj vs striking

#4Conor's sub losses were 4 & 6 years ago. He's a much better fighter now. Poirier is very good but this fight will be decided on the feet imo. This will be Conor's toughest test for sure.
Poirier started off as the fav and so much $ poured in on Conor he became the fav and Dustin the dog. Dustin should be the fav on paper but the odds don't always reflect who's better. It reflects who's being bet on.Comment -

#8I'm a big Poirier fan but can admit that most of Poirier's sub wins were handed to him on a plate. Brookins even admitted that he was looking for a way out of the fight and just gave it to him. Holloway was short notice and at white-belt level at the time...had no idea what to do on the ground. Garza's sub-defense is almost non-existant....dude got guillotined by Zhang Tiequan and tooled by Brandao on the ground as well. Soon as Poirier faced a legit grappler in Swanson he got schooled...Cub even started showing off and having banter with the camera man in third round cos he was controlling Poirier so easilyComment -

#12He did...although 4 weeks notice isnt really short notice nowadays when you consider how many guys pull out 1-2 weeks before a fight now and get replaced! but yeah, could argue that it was his lack of cardio (due to taking fight on short notice) that led to him getting schooled on groundComment -

#16great insight. Basically if Conor is a CONTENDER, this line may be right/a little too low. Still not sure if I could play Conor over 250Comment -

#17Dustin got rocked by Brookins and Akira. what do you think Conor would do if he connects? although Conor's chin is unproven Dustin could land and take him out. Fight could go either way but most likely Conor wins. but i hope for the upset.Comment -
