    WEC 41: Brown vs Faber
A much discussed rematch between current WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown (17-4 MMA, 3-0 WEC) and the man from whom he took the belt, Urijah Faber (22-2 MMA, 7-1 WEC), has been signed according to a report from FiveOuncesOfPain.com.

The signing has since been confirmed by MMAJunkie.com.

According to the report, the bout will headline the as-yet-unannounced WEC 41 event on June 7 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif.

Brown defied conventional logic in the pair's November 2008 title bout, earning a first-round TKO victory over then-champion Faber. The American Top Team product has since defended the belt in a submission win over Leonard Garcia in the main event of March's WEC 39. The win marked the ninth-straight victory for the 33-year-old.

Faber had carried the WEC's featherweight belt since January 2007. "The California Kid" defended the belt successfully four times before suffering the TKO loss to Brown, a defeat that snapped a 13-fight win streak for the 29-year-old.

Faber rebounded from the loss to Brown with a 94-second submission win over Jens Pulver at "WEC 38: Varner vs. Cerrone" in January.

FiveOuncesOfPain.com is also reporting that despite previous comments by UFC President Dana White, WEC 41 is scheduled to air live on VERSUS.

Anyone thing the Faber line is a little low here? I saw it as low as -115. Can he really lose twice in a row to Mike Brown?

i think the first one was a fluke ... kinda like Serra vs GSP . Faber got real serious after that loss, killed pulver and i think he will run threw Brown. Brown has been around longer then most people think and i dont think he became a beast overnight. Not saying hes not talented, but i think Faber is on a different level and will come out and win this one.

anyone have lines out on the rest of the card, I lean faber but not a fight I will be looking to bet, Never liked faber and feel he is a little over hyped, Brown could easily win the rematch

i think faber has a good chance to win this fight, but i don't think this is ANYTHING even close to the serra/gsp stuff... Brown is legit and has the strength to take it to anyone in that division.

How dare you go against my PICK !!!

No, seariously, your right, i didnt mean it will be an exact replica, because brown is quite good, for WEC standards. What i ment was that i think the champ got complaciant and it cost him, he will come out on fire for this fight and get his belt back ... lets cash it

I just put a ton on Josh Grispi. That line has already moved to -160 at Bookmaker. Pulver is old balls. He only opened as a PK because of name recognition.

That whole cast is overrated . Well besides Gray mayner, hes getting better. If Gabe would have made weight for his fight (he honestly tried alot harder then the show made it out to look) he could have won. Diaz is overrated to, ill be on Stevenson over him

I hate Diaz so much. Even though it was a weak fight, I celebrated hard when Guida finally beat him. I've lost so much money on that punk ass.

Faber does some crazy stuff in the ring, and is great vs lesser experienced fighters, but he has too many holes still...... BUT I do think his learning curve is still steep, and potential/ceiling very high.....

plus I heard him tell some story about almost getting killed by a 9 crazy Bali gangstas...... plus i'm a sucker for a great butt chin
