Gray Maynard vs Fabrico Camoes -
This fight I don't even feel I need to cap, this style match up really favors Gray Maynard.. I can see Maynard finishing off the older Brazilian in this one.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Fabricio-Camoes-2427
-300 odds are crap so this will be a parlay play for me..

#108I'm clairvoyantly wiki-predicting the main event as a win for OSP:
Loss 17-5 Ovince St. Preux KO (slipped on banana peel on entrance to ring while high) UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux August 16, 2014 Bangor, Maine, United States
Come on Jibbey, up your game.

Completing the main card is a heavyweight encounter between former NFL player Shawn Jordan (15-6) and the humongous American and former nightclub bouncer Jack May (7-1), May who standing at a wopping 6’8, is the tallest heavyweight currently competing in the UFC made his debut in April losing to Derek Lewis by way of TKO in the first round, in a fight in which he started off well in. May is a knockout artist with 6 of his 7 wins coming by way of KO an excellent kickboxer but is susceptible to the takedown, something which Jordan who is a two-time state champion in wrestling will be likely looking to exploit. Following back-to-back knockout losses to Gabriel Gonzaga and Matt Mitrione, Jordan would be wise to implement his wrestling against a guy who is known to throw heavy hands.

#118He KO'ed Joe Cason in Strikeforce and easily finished Cody Donovan with ground and pound. He definitely has power. He broke Jimmo's arm with a kick and did the same to another past opponent. His gas tank looked horrible against Villante but good against Mousasi. The OSP that fought Villante would get whooped by Bader but if he shows up in shape he could pose a decent threat.Originally posted by latarianmiltoni cant help but think, who has st preux koed? because with his gas tank he's not getting a decisionComment -

#119(-290) Zack Makovski vs (+245) Jussier Formiga -
http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Jussier-da-Silva-36939 Thinking possible submission upset in this bout????
(copy and paste)
The Prelims have a few interesting match up’s as two top ten ranked flyweights meet inside the Octagon, as #9 ranked Zach Makovsky (18-4) meets #6 ranked Jussier Formiga (16-3). Formiga is coming off of a submission win over Scott Jorgensen in his last appearance inside of the Octagon in the first round, surprisingly to some. Makovsky has looked impressive since Joining the UFC, also holding a win over the aforementioned Jorgenson as well as taking a unanimous decision win over Josh Sampo in his last appearance. 3 of Makovsky’s 4 losses have come by way of submission, something which the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Formiga will be looking to capitalize on.Comment -

#1202 of those sub losses were 5-6 years ago. A fighter can change pretty substantially in 6 years. Also, the 1 sub from fairly recently was at the hands of Dantas.. that's a quality opponent.Originally posted by JIBBBY(-290) Zack Makovski vs (+245) Jussier Formiga -

I don't argue that... Zack could win this fight by decision...Originally posted by Bumdeal2 of those sub losses were 5-6 years ago. A fighter can change pretty substantially in 6 years. Still, I think you're under estimating or over looking this kid Formiga (16-3) just a bit.. Ranked #6 for a reason.. Formiga has a bunch of impressive UFC wins and has fought and lost to only the very best in the division to date..
Formiga just beat Scott Jorg which is no easy task, and in his last 2 defeats over the years he has only been stopped by two guys with far better striking skills then Makovsky.. (John Dodson and Joseph Benevidez).. Makovsky isn't a Knock Out artist anyways is what I'm getting at and this fairs well for Formiga....
For the value I think Formiga is the play as I think he has a legit chance to win this fight... At +250 this dog might hunt...
(1 unit straight Jussier Formiga +250) for me...

I'm with ya, just lots of details you omit when you go over these stats. Like the fact that Jorg got headbutted by Formiga and basically KO'd.
MMAMath doesn't work anyway, but still worth mentioning if you're going to point to his win over JorgensonComment -

Jorg did get head butted which led to the rear naked.. Still a win at this level is a win.. Maybe he can head butt Makovsky and get an arm bar or something... Lol... Proved Formiga has a hard head if anything else...

#127At +250.....Originally posted by firekillexive watched the past few fights of zach makovsky and he does look really good, but his losses come from submission oriented fighters which would fit formigas bill.. 3 out of 4 of his losses by submission, he is a talented wrestler thats no doubt, if there wasnt so much juice id probably go with him. But at +200 ill go with formiga all day, half of his wins by sub, his only losses lately have been from benevidez and dodson which are 2 of the top 3 fighters in the division, he just beat the guy fighting for the title a few fights ago and subbed a very game jorgenson as wellComment -

#129Originally posted by JIBBBYYou can criticize my results when I hype up a fighter big time and he then loses badly.. I deserve it and I even feel bad when and if people trailed me on it...
The fights I really hype up with posts and pics I am probably 10-1, maybe 10-2 in the last year on average.. Not so comical.. For example - Rumble Johnson I've been riding and he hasn't lost in years.. I hyped him up greatly in posts and with pics for every event he was in.. Gotta ride those win streaks with the bad arse fighters regardless of odds.. You do that and 10-1 doesn't seem so out landish. All favorites though..
Jon Jones is another fighter I've been riding and hyping up for years and I will continue to do just that.. I even road Nick Newell for a while til his last beat down loss.. Chris Weidman is another dude I haven't bet against as far back as I can remember..
My logic and reasoning is sound.. Is that clear enough for you MD?
You're even less self-aware than Gabe. If you at least acknowledged that you have no idea what you're talking about, you could actually change.Comment -

#137He's just an unbelievably solid fighter with good fight IQ. You don't need to worry about whether he'll choose the right game plan or hesitate in implementing it. I think he's worth the price. Unlikely that formiga wins a decision so his only chance is an early submission. If you're going to play formigga you might as well just wait for the sub prop.Originally posted by JIBBBYWilbo you're on Mak too... Alrighty then..... I do agree with ya Wil that if Formiga wins this fight it will probably be by sub and not by decision.. I am waiting for that sub prop and a few others to come out as well.. Just wanting to get a solid W/L grip on these prelim fights first which I'm trying to do now...Comment -
