Of course he does. I'm thinking / hoping he will win.
There's the magic.

Okay, I see now. Well you were right, Cotto did have a very good chance to win and he won. But unfortunately Sergio didn't disclose the true status of his leg prior to the fight. But who could blame him? Right? He wanted his one last payday and he got it. He new his leg would never allow him to box appropriately again, so he took his money and ran.

I had it pegged from months back i just couldn't believe martinez was such a fav, not only that i was very confident cotto would beat him.

Cool but that isn't what matches with your words from your more recent post. Either way Cotto won so if you were on him, good win, but just from a analysis standpoint, you have to admit that Sergio clearly was on bad legs from the start of the fight and had no business even being in the ring. That was not Sergio Martinez that ruled the 160 division, that was an injured man. The problem is, that he was convincing when he said his leg healed although we could see from the moment the fight started, that that wasn't true.

Well that's boxing...Sergio clearly didn't have the knee recovery that he said he did. At 39 with the way his legs looked he's finished..He was nowhere closse to the fighter that he once was. Time to hang em' up Sergio, it was good while it lasted.
Spot on. Unfortunately a very one sided fight. I was hoping for a more even matchup

Cotto got the win fair and square, age and injuries have clearly caught up with Martinez, and he is finished. I feel the three knock downs were more a balance issue on a balky knee than a shot chin, since he did gut it out another 9 rounds, so I don't think he was hurt all that badly. Time will tell how Cotto does at this weight against someone with more left in the tank.

This is a tough one to call, and it all depends on how bad Sergio's lingering injuries are. He's the bigger man, and has quite a chin. He got stung by Chavez Jr. who weighed about 200lbs for that fight, and he still couldn't knock Sergio out. If he's got anything left I think he beats Cotto by a lopsided decision.
