i followed you on that play, MD...but, very honestly, even if i had "Starts R3" instead...i'd still think the same way (meaning i'd feel just that wee bit guilty for the $ I gained because of the additional baseball-bat swings to the cabeza the kid had to endure until the assault was FINALLY called off)

cruikshank vs koch stoppage was fine in fact it was a perfect stoppage koch was not unconscious he was actively trying to recover but he couldn't recover effectively

phillipou vs larkin was perfectly fine stoppage that right hand that phillipou threw put larkin's lights out completely he fell limp and was in no position to fight back

Koch stoppage was a bit late imo. Head was bouncing around like a ping ping.

Lorenz was good though. He was done.

tbh, when i wrote it up, the larkin stoppage was the only one i thought i may have been stretching, just to have an example of each...the best recent example of a ridiculously-fast stoppage that robbed everybody of a fight (and the stopped fighter of a legitimate chance to win)...was mcmann being called out early in the first round against rousey...

i still wonder how a mcmann/rousey fight would go...we never got to see one

at the other extreme we have Munoz almost getting killed by weidman while the referee watched (Koch last night was reminiscent of that...)

that's the second time in just his last few fights that Koch has damn near got killed...Lamas turned his face into bloody pulp with elbows not long ago (way worse damage than last night...but that wasn't ref's fault then because lamas just unloaded the nastiest ton of elbows imaginable in just a few seconds before the fight was called...) when i hear the expression "bloody elbow"...i think of that fight

hehehe, sometimes you get an autocomplete that you just have to leave as-is.

the other day i was sending a message to nunya. it was supposed to read "first to perish". instead it autocompleted to "first to perosh". i noticed the mistake, but i had to leave it bc it made me giggle.

I think alot of fights are stopped prematurely. It pisses me off!!!!

Flip side - It protects the fighters as we haven't had any deaths in the cage on the main stream venues yet.. BIG FOR MMA AND THE UFC...

Yeah I think the UFC does a decent job of not setting up HUGE mismatches like other organizations...that's how someone is going to get really ****** up...
