Well Kongo was game but just didn't have enough to take Sputnik... Back to the drawing board for Kongo.. In the end he was out wrestled in that final 5th round which was the fight..

That weight difference was big and it paid off for the Russian...

Congrats, on the wins! You would've gotten a better price by just taking Goes distance at +425 than those 3 plays.

For example, taking Minakov by dec at +725, rather than splitting it into those two bets, which gives you +600 instead.

This fight went the distance but the big money to be had was if Kongo won by decision.. It almost landed!!!! Just missed that one...

If only Kongo was a better wrestler, had better cardio, had a better chin and came out a little more aggressively. LOL....

Kongo now has a history of coming up short in his biggest fights.. We need to remember that.. I do think he will win his next fight in Bellator with whom ever he is matched up with..

On a side note and going slightly off topic -

Still can't believe Bellator went PPV on this upcoming Rampage fight.. If it's a success I'm sure Zuffa is going to start making crazy offers to buy out and then dissolve.. Much like they did with the WEC, Strikeforce, etc..

We see..... Hope Bellator stays around one way or the other.. Like this MMA Venue!!!!

No I said if Kongo was improved in some areas he might have beat the champ.. No other HW in Bellator will beat either the Russian champ or Kongo.. Those are top 1 and 2 HW fighters in Bellator in my mind.. That's what I was trying to say.. Not so silly right?

We saw Kongo's signature stagger after being touched multiple times in the fight, Minakov just didn't have the appropriate reaction. Looked like he was mindful of his gas tank, not sure if perhaps he had an injury in camp that prevented him from showing up in better shape.
