I don't think he did it to get out of the fight but it was an illegal blow. I've seen the same situation called a DQ. The Blanco one is an annoying example because Blanco was beating Akira up before the foul occurred. In this case Heatherly was executing his gameplan against Chidi before the foul.

Bum, 'preciate this thread and your input over in tennis as well...

MMA is by FAR the best sport for betting (u just gotta "dampen your enthusiasm" bet-wise because of the certainty of crap-judging...)
BUT it's once/twice a week at the best of times

tennis is clearly second best (cuz you can't count on people to fight as hard to win points in a ball game as they do in an actual fight involving bodily harm)...but there are matches all the time...so it nicely fills in the gaps between MMA cards

Yea fit, mma is by far my favorite sport to bet on. Aside from what you've mentioned above its also a "quick fix", meaning matches last 15 minutes and then it's on to the next. The perfect sport for a degenerate like myself
