ahhh man...i didnt even notice the thumbs up watching live...i was on barao but that was def. a bad stoppage...blocking the shots, thumbs up...thats rough for faber...barao had him seriously F'd up tho so i think he would have finished anyways but you never know...oh well...

I wasted a hundred on Mir by sub, a hundred on Mir by KO, and a hundred on Faber by split. In hindsight I shouldn't have pussed out and just went balls to the wall...but cashing it is cashing it.

Just watched it again
He is blocking the shots working to get out of that position, if he lets go of the leg or stops blocking he's going to eat unblocked shots. I believe he was blocking the strikes, trying to recover, and waiting until he's able to find the opportunity to safely escape. IMO he wasn't given enough time to survive.

Barao was more concerned with asking herb to stop the fight, the hammer fists he was landing werent particularly hard. Faber was in a bad spot but could have survived. I don't think it was particularly egregious, but it was early

Think about that though. What about unanswered body punches from GnP? Nobody cares because it doesnt hurt. He had no good reason to move at the time. Punches had absolutely nothing on them.

I think I had tko +1100 and sub +580, and I don't even remember what the itd line was...either way it was just paranoia. That fight didn't go at all how I predicted, I am lucky I didn't lose my shirt on reem by ko, as that would have been a big play for me if I didn't have so much riding on this parlay

After a ref watches a fighter get dropped a couple times and then that fighter is covering his head while getting hammer fisted and he doesn't improve his position when told, that fight has to be stopped. If he would have pounded Faber unconscious then people would be bitching that the Ref sucks for letting it go on too long.

theres a big difference btwn. covering up and clearly blocking hammerfists while grabbing the leg w/ a thumbs up then being on the verge of consciousness from brutal hammer fists and the ref letting it go too long...had those shots been clean, then yeah, def. a justifiable stoppage...this isnt some faber bias from me either...i was on barao in the 1st fight as well this fight and i do think barao would have prob gotten the job done either way but a bad stoppage is a bad stoppage is a bad stoppage...

He didn't "grab" Barao's leg until Dean had called the stop. If anything, Barao had Faber's arm pinned so he couldn't use it. He had Faber in a completely dominating position and there was nothing Faber could do and Dean had seen enough.
