    Weidman/Vitor
If Weidman gets thru Vitor, up next is most likely Machida. When in history has a guy ever have to run a gauntlet like that? Silva, Vitor at possibly his best, and then Machida. Man can't they throw in a James Irvin or a Rich Franklin type for the guy?

    Weidman -225
    Vitor +225

Might have to take Weidman in this one. We know he wont be the first one to gas. I hope Wiedman beats Vitor. I'd take Machida over him. I think he is a rough stylistic matchup for him. Rougher than Anderson is anyway.

As for the prospect of fighting Belfort in Las Vegas, where the Nevada state athletic commission will oversee Belfort's therapeutic use exemption for testosterone replacement therapy, Weidman is satisfied that the state sanctioning body will do a good job of making sure the playing field is as level as it should be. While he said he had nothing against Belfort personally and that he seemed like a "good guy," he added that he's fundamentally opposed to TRT in the sport.

"He's failed a drug test before. He's on TRT now. I don't agree with TRT to begin with, so him failing a drug test and being on TRT, I don't really like it," he said. "So I appreciate there will be a commission making sure he's doing things right. I don't have high testosterone at all. I'm completely fine. I guarantee his testosterone on TRT is two or three times higher than mine. I wake up and I work hard two or three times a day. I don't feel that there's a need for it, and if it comes to point where you need it, then you retire, you don't fight. Fighting is a sport where strength is important, and if you're going to have extra testosterone, especially after you've been caught cheating, it's unfair."

I personally believe that if Weidman beats Vitor, then Machida, then has one more title defence against oh, say, Jacare, that he is almost certainly P4P #1, and has a good claim to being the best fighter of all time. He's my pick for the most well-rounded guy in the history of the sport, he's growing faster than anyone, and his fight IQ is about as high as fight IQ gets. He's even more cerebral than Jones. Hell of a fighter.

As for "running the gauntlet", Jones went through Shogun, Rampage, Machida, then Rashad, which was considered ungodly at the time, and probably still is, although most realized that Rampage isn't much of a challenge to anyone, even at the time. I think many would agree that Shogun wasn't exactly a great accomplishment, either, given the stage of his career. The Machida fighters were impressive, but beyond that, he had done pretty much nothing.

Well according to Kizer's comments over the course of 2013, Vitor won't even get a TUE as it was Nevada that he previously tested positive in. That's the most compelling storyline heading into this fight to me, if Kizer has any balls to stand up to the UFC or not.

Some Overeem-esque out of competition testing for Belfort would be nice too... but then the fight would get cancelled, so I'm sure Dana will find a way to nix that.

Edit: Oh, first post. I was sure I'd posted on here before. Oh well.

What isn't in question is his corners fight IQ and luckily he became a believer this time around. For three years i have told my buddy that his kid needs to go to this camp. He already rolled with Danaher and Danaher loved him which is not that easy to get for people who know him. If Barbosa is still there u can bet ur ass he was throwing tons of kicks at Weidman during camp. Everyone improves at this camp. Costos left and he has turned to shit. Longo Serra and the rest in my eyes are far and away the top camp around.

Well he didn't really have a choice at that point, he could either try keeping to shoot for TD's or he could stand with Silva who showed absolutly zero respect. He chose the latter (which was the right thing looking at how the fight was playing out)

And i'm not worried about Weidman against Vitor, Vitor is still the same guy who's been trashed by most wrestlers he's ever faced. Still the same guy that quits and vilts under pressure, still the same guy with the shaky chin. Even Overeem was ragdolling Vitor.

Weidman by INTELLIGENCE , REACH , GRAPPLING , YOUTH.

Jackson, AKA, Alpha Male and the Blackzilians are all better. You can't just be a couple of New Yorkers with bad attitudes who grab their balls and say "get da fukk outta heeya" and become the best camp because you have one champ. Doesn't work that way. Matt Serra is a GREAT COACH, don't get me wrong, but lets be real here. Those other camps have actual talent and quality coaches, not just 1 quality fighter.
