in addition to grabbing the fence, the cage also gives other advantages to a grounded fighter such as "wall walking" and preventing the top fighter from executing certain maneuvers.

they should just use a ring surrounded by little japanese dudes to keep fighters from falling out.

it would never happen though, as the octagon is a big part of the ufc brand at this point.

I think they should get rid of decisions. Perhaps after three rounds regardless of who seems to be winning, the fight should go to overtime and the overtime will be fought with baseball bats.

They should do it like Rio Heroes where every other fighter on the card stands in a circle and pushes the fighters back if they get too close.

i have always said they shuld use a standard ring. That was one reason Pride was so good. Fence grabbing may be one of the biggest game changers a guy could use.

Things like that get annoying... can't push someone up against the ropes on the ground. Course a solid wall may be too good to push the guy up against without him being able to climb it.

How about mandatory finger and toe amputation? It solves most problems. Perhaps not the toes but you'd just look funny so they go too!

Only flaw. Ring much better than the Cage. Ring stops these dancers who run around in circles. Tough to cut them off. Trap them in the corner of a ring.

There's still grabbing the ropes to prevent a td, which is probably even more effective than grabbing the fence. It just needs to be enforced better. Both in the grabbing and not having the ref yell "don't grab the fence" if a guy breaths on it too hard.

Fedor use to love to grab that rope. Just feel the ring seems to make fights more exciting. rope is a little more tougher to grab than a fence tho yo.
