I've gotta disagree with you, Stan. I think Machida is the real deal whether his fights are boring or not. I understand that he's a passive type of fighter, but that's how he gets the job done: he waits it out, and evades with wicked timing. From what I see in Thiago Silva, my perceptions of him are that he's a sloppy striker with a bad gas tank. Silva's record is skewed by all of the cans he's crushed at B-League events. In my opinion, I don't think Silva has encountered someone who's on the same level as Machida.
