Yeah he got lucky against Larsen. Barboza is obviously on a higher level. I don't think he gets his technique from the heavy bag. IIRC he has had something like 20 competitive fights.

Damn, thought Arantes would have his way more with TDs and on the ground. And maybe cardio. Souza defiantly won "the fight" but it was a close one to score.

I gave Souza R1, also, for the beating he gave Arantes on the feet for 3.5 minutes, but I was 100% sure the judges gave that round to Arantes. Which I can't really complain about, a minute and a half of ground control with a submission attempt should score pretty heavily. Do think Souza did more though.

Arantes won the 1st, Souza won the 2nd, kinda close 3rd only due to the TDs and how they're usually scored but other than that Souza takes the 3rd, not surprised by the split and wouldn't have been shocked to see Arantes win but Souza won "the fight"

Watch the Leites fight. If he's improved A LOT, maybe.

Only way to bet him now, IMO, is if you're assuming Natal is going to fight stupid in front of his home country, which is a pretty reasonable assumption.

I was pretty sure the judges were going to screw me there. Every close decision has gone against me the last 2 months. So thankful to get a close (and deserved) one in my favor. My night hinged on Souza even though I have one bet left. Will be a +5.55 unit night if the last one hits.

Very deserved. Would be a very bad decision to give it to Arantes in my opinion. We're in the same boat, nice to see our streak broken on the same fight.

The fight went exactly how I thought when it was on the feet. However, I did not expect Ali Baba to be edged on the ground by Vinicius. I thought Ali would have a huge advantage on the feet. A good advantage in wrestling. And a small advantage in Jit's.
