They already fought and he got smashed. Couldn't take him down and then caught a knee because he couldn't take him down. Mendes and those alligator arms have a tough time getting close to Aldo.

there was a very blantant fence grab from aldo...idk if that would have changed anything but that it was so blantant that it never sat well with me...should have been an auto point deduction IMO...always wanted to see a rematch because of that...

still think palelei was THE play tonight, la fem nikita was all over the fence and should have had points deducted so if not for that advantage the fight shoulda been more one-sided, and we had no way of knowing about nikita's chin because of the horrible horrible godawful opponents he'd had. yes rounds 2 and 3 were boring to watch but he brought the pain round 1. look for humuhumuhulk to get a low-quality matchup and be undervalued next time.

I've seen some argue the same about Koch fight though (one-sided beatdown). Koch did have that tight triangle in 1st round and then won the 3rd round so clearly wasnt a complete beatdown.

exactly. both fighters were close to getting a finish in round 1. i would argue that round 1 of koch fight was better than round 1 of lim. then porier took round 2, and koch round 3. this was a real injustice.
