Interesting fill-in. I thought Thompson might have won on the cards with no real problems because of his size/reach, underrated boxing ability and power, but Toney should handle Fres pretty well. Fres can give guys fits but Toney is as trim and quick as he was in the Holyfield fight years ago.
Shot and done Rahman quits after a pussy cut to save from being the first guy in forever to be KO'd by Toney, and he gets the title shot? Pshh. Toney is always avoided. They talk shit about him and then avoid him for a shot guy like Rahman, go figure.
No weigh-in reports yet, but I'll assume Toney is at least in good a shape as the Rahman fight, and Oquendo is usually very in shape fill-in or not. Should be interesting at least. Toney is one of my favorite fighters so I'm staying away from this altogether. There is really good value in the over though. You know Toney isn't going to get knocked down or out, and I can't see Toney landing a whole lot of flush shots early enough to take Fres out before 9.5 or at all. Fres has underrated boxing skill but not enough to be anything but a contender turned journeyman turned contender.
