Took the fight on one week notice because previous fighter got injured. Takes way longer then a week to train for a fight. HE was fighting a really fast striker and he tried to get the ko. He even pumped up the crowd and finished even though he was all bloody. He tried to take him down but his opponent has really good take down defense. HE was 33-3 record for a reason.

#598He showed up to collect a pay cheque and was terrified of getting hit. He has no heart whatsoever and I never want to see him fight again. I'm disgusted that a guy could get the opportunity of a life time, a Swedish national wrestling team member no less, and never shoot for a takedown. He barely even tried to hit Gegard.
he took two or three shots, but they were pathetic
he was so scared to drive through, all his shots came as he leaned back to avoid mousasi's strike, and then half heartedly dove for the legs without really threatening to explode throughComment -

#599the worse was when he was waving mousasi down like "c'mon man come get some!"
no you fkn idiot, you go after him!! dude is alerady stalking you and you,re just moving backwards
i knew he had no chance as soon as i saw him come out and refused to pressure the better striker, instead he was sitting back trying to jockey for distance and footwork, feinting and picking his shots... i thought, wtf is this idiot doing??Comment -

#606You would think he would I guess.
But when none of us heard of the guy before this event, it is hard to expect anything. Guy could be a pedophile could be a tranny, could be a mute. Hard to expect anything out of a guy none of us knew before frantically running to youtube to try and catch one of his past fights.Comment -

#607to me it just comes down to one thing. Trying ones best. I hardly think it was his best effort to eat jabs that were rearranging his face when anything else would have been a more valiant attempt to get the win. Those jabs fuked his face up and were causing him to fall back at the end of the fight. I don't get why he stood in front of them without trying to change the game plan to anything else but throwing wild hay-makers.Comment -

#610He tried a couple TDs and was easily stuffed. He isn't a good fighter by any means. He just cut 26lbs in 3 days. He wasn't training for a fight. He isn't a good fighter.
I mean what else was he going to do? Pull out some great muay thai out of thin air? Transform into a Judo Olympian? Turn into a wolf?
He knew he was well out-matched. He didn't want to get KO'd. Happens all the time in combat sports, happens with a lot better fighters than some sweed from off the bench.Comment -

#615I have no idea how large Luca bets because, well, he doesn't share that information but he said he went 2-3 in bets and it "wasn't a good event" for him. He's definitely having a twitter meltdown though... I tried to deflect it with some self-deprecating humour on how they could both agree that WannaBetUFC is the sh*ttiest hack MMA bettor, but somehow I think it just poured more gasoline on the flame war.
I suck at being a peacekeeper so now I'm trying to get Blood Stain Lane & IziBoy to go at it again on youtube/twitter. ONE MORE ROUND!Comment -

But he had him down at the end and threw a hard right witch just missed. Most all of his punches were haymakers. He was trying to take the tiny chance that he may have had.
He probably was fairly tired. Josh Koscheck sat there and ate a jab for 5 rounds vs. GSP...and he was a long time top 5 WW. This bum is a no name swed Gustaf punching bag. The guy is 5'8 and had to cut 26 lbs to get to 206. That is the type of fighter we are talking about. A blob of a man.Comment -

#630Refering to Peralta? I think it was a combination of a number of things. Firstly it was clearly one of those situations where fighting in front of home crowd seemed to give the fighter (in this case Akira) a big boost. Also he trains full time and has been for a long time, and has been training with Edgar, while Peralta is still working full-time and barely getting in a couple hours a day of training. Also, I think that KO of Young made Peralta overly confident in his one-punch KO ability and perhaps led to him being too passive and just head-hunting.Comment
