I can definitely see Mikey possibly taking this. Guy's got a ton of school. Think he can outwork Salido and not get bullied. Definitely curious to see where the odds fall on this one.

According to oddschecker, Garcia is -300 and Salido is +130 on Betfair. I assume they'll wind up with something more reasonable.

I'm taking Salido in this fight. He's one of these guys whose body is counter-intuitive in that he seems to get better with age. Garcia has power and a great jab, but he's gonna need more than that to beat Salido who fights with lots of angles and has more punches in his book. Garcia is mechanical on his feet. Salido's fluidity will cause him a great deal of problems that he's not gonna be able to jab/power his way through.

Of course it would be a cold day in penetrating hell before SBR will post the odds in their book, as they hate boxing unless Mayweather/Pacquiao is fighting someone.

Well, whatever you think of the decision, a bet on Zab against Matthysse was paid.

I'm leaning against even putting in much work on Garcia/Salido because the lines look good at a glance and it is going to be a hard fight to predict. Might be better to go through Brook/Alexander again or an FNF matchup.

That was pretty frustrating. He survives the early rounds because Garcia does not overwhelm guys, which is what I figured. Still, four knockdowns is scary. Settles in, Salido is coming back. Mikey seems content to coast to a victory.

Yoink! All of the sudden fights can be stopped because of broken noses. I don't even hate the stoppage, really. But that had to happen for the first time ever right then? Oh well. Had the right side. Move on.
