GL to everyone today!!!
Also feel like a dipshit for paying that juice tho.. that's how you get burned and I should have known better than to pay that price on max being on short notice fighting a guy who usually sees the scorecards.
Still bitching about the Cariaso loss haha, think it would have been a clean sweep for me tonight had he just keep distance the rest of that 3rd round and cruised.
The main event was a shocker, didn't expect that to play out the way it did.
I feel all the people bitching about Cain's performance in here, but regardless of the mistakes he made and the opportunities to finish, he dominated the shit outta a guy who had barely been touched at zuffa hw. You gotta give a nod to mehicano no matter how you look at this fight, imo... There are criticisms but the bigger picture should be applauded, cain outworked and beat the hell out of an unbeaten (in zuffa) champ.
And coming back for a title rematch after a quick ko in teh 1st fight is also something to note too, theres gotta be a big mental obstacle to overcome with that. Lol and its pathetic all the bums coming out on the websites talking shitt on jds and throwiing his ass under the bus, I bet half them were backing jds before the fight.Comment -

#836Originally posted by SportsPedagogyYou mean that Roy Nelson who as only been Ko'd once ?
We are talking about the same JDS whose only two wins by decision were against Nelson and Carwin right ? And both of those fights were one sided beat downs ...
This is the kinda shit that was being fed to mma fans, and they lapped it up like you betting JDS at -175.
But hey you and that other dork probably think roy nelson could beat the klitchkos.Comment -

#838you would have to think reem is rubbing his hands with these two.
I have rewatched the fight a few times and some observations:
1. JDS gassed and gassed badly - this was prior to the punch which he never seemed to recover from at all.
2. JD looked very ordinary the whole fight and I am talking prior to gassing - very basic 'boxing', lack of jab usage, flat footed just all round when you watch him in isolation just looks like a very amateur striker. I want to rewatch previous fights, as I never realised just how basic he was. Maybe he was injured or sick?
3. I have no idea what Cain was doing after JDS was visibly gone - you cant even say he was worried about not getting hit as he was walking in, flappin his hands with his head exposed straight into JDS range. The problem was JDS, after gassing, couldnt stand in a strikers stance - he was literally flat footed so had zero power. Cain still just ambled in to fight at standing grappling range. Pretty average viewing really.
4. Cain gassed in this fight, make no mistake.
5. Cant say I was overly impressed with either, If overeem is still overeem without any 'horse meat', I struggled to see either of these taking him down to beat him. Perhaps he may tired with a relentless onslaight from Cain.Comment -
