#74yeah, i'm somewhere around 0-5 betting on those two, career wise
but there was this one time where Pierce closed at +251 against Koscheck. They say the value was still on KosComment -

#77Beltran should take it, look at the Maldonado fight, Beltran will be more active than Maldonado and has a comparable chin. Beltran by third round TKO in my opinion, the croat's gonna lose 2 in a row here.
Is Soti still the consensus pick?Comment -

#78George/Ross goes 5 rd dist -130.
Don't care that it's a 5 rounder. Doctor stoppage by a bad cut is more of a threat IMO.
Ross keeps it on the feet and I don't see a KO here.

#84He actually got KO'd by Tommy Spear from some ground and pound. I wouldn't say his chin is weak; he was able to recover two or three times (haven't re-watched it yet) after taking solid shots to the chin in the Siver fight and his KO loss vs Dos Anjos, he definitely connected clean with his jaw with a good amount of power.
My Aussie pride makes me a bit of a Sotiropoulos fan and I would love to see him win this one, but he is coming off two losses, a knee injury, and a long lay off. Also, it scares the shit out of me betting on him every time he hobbles to the scales, extremely dehydrated, with that old man's physique of his.Comment -

#86Beltran does look like a good play, Beltran has a higher strike rate than Igor. I think Joey will get the W by split decision.Comment -

#88In the Tuff house he got knocked out unconscious by one shot. He started his winning streak against guys with no hands and was doing well till he fought Siver and was getting knock down every time Siver got within and inch of his chin. Then Dos Santos flatten him with one shot. The guys chin is shot. You hit it he goes down. He grabs ya he usually finishes ya. I never bet guys with suspect chins and George is one of them. I think it was that terror Tommy Speer who flatten him on Tuff with one punch.Last edited by Thor4140; 12-14-12, 09:34 AM.Comment -

#91I side towards Ross in the main event. I fully respect Soti's ground game, it is elite. But he has a tough time getting it to the ground. And Ross has solid TDD and is more athletic. Soti has the better single aspect, but Ross is more well-rounded. I think a move back to 155 will help Ross.
No clue in the Lombard fight. On paper and according to hype Lombard should flatten him. But I wouldn't lay more than 2 to 1 on him. Palhares can land that leglock on anyone. And he matches Lombard's craziness. A lot of pressure on Lombard here. He may press too hard for a nice KO and get caught. It will be hard to get a straight up TD on Lombard, but I'd like to see Palhares look for a different sub. aybe set up the leg into something else. His all around BJJ is very good, not just his leg locks. Hopefully Lombard is cocky enough to let Palhares roll around on teh ground with him. The sad part of this is, Palhares would be Lombard's best win ever, out of all those fights he's had. I can't lay that juice on a can crusher that hasn't proven his worth yet, even if he stylistically matches up well.Comment -

#97Heh, remember the guy who thought he found the lock of the century? He thought fighter +3.5 meant they just had to not have a point deduction or lose a 10-8 round and it would always win. Then argued with me when I told him it wasn't the case.Comment -
