Trout can win, but in MSG where Cotto's undefeated in. I don't know. Yea he's not what he used to be, but he can still bang. Trout better not walk in like he did against Devlin... I have no idea what Devlin was doing in that fight either... boring as shit

Issue in SBR book. This fight doesn't show up on main page under boxing. If you click Bet It All link at the top the fight will show up under that.

Very surprised at the odds, what is this guy gonna do? Outbox Cotto like Mayweather did? Even Mayweather had a hell of a time doing that. Cotto is gonna trash this guy.

Outbox? I think you misunderstand how Mayweather fought that fight.

People are still believing Cotto as the fighter of 5 years ago. He's struggled at 154 against hand selected opponents. He was hurt badly against Manny and was out on his feet in the closing round against Mayweather. He isn't a true jr. middle and he's fighting a young, capable southpaw at his natural weight. Other than the location, Cotto doesn't have many advantages in this fight.

Plus people fail to see Cotto's progression as a man and a father. He's totally comfortable financially and really doesn't need to fight anymore, as his legacy is established. Enjoy this fight, as it might be Cotto's last. If you're a fan of his you should hope so too, as a fight with Canelo Alvarez will be brutal and painful to watch Cotto receive a beating to end a spectacular career.

Mayweather purposefully fought to Cotto's style in order to give the fans an exciting fight before he went to prison. He fought an extremely aggressive (for him) fight; wasn't particularly smart, but very exciting.

If having children and being financially comfortable meant the deterioration of a fighter, Mayweather would've been losing a long time ago.

Pacquiao is a bad matchup for Cotto, just as Marquez is a bad matchup for Pacquiao. Cotto remained competitive with Mayweather, even though he got stomped by Pacquiao. It just shows you can't really judge a fighter from a specific fight. I think Cotto will stomp this guy.

He fought at a higher pace, but he fought like he always does.

edit: A lot of why he had to fight that way was because Cotto was pouring it on.

I am super wrong. I hedged the fight at +100 in the 11th, which should cover some of my losses, but Trout definitely won this.

Not true at all. His style was far more aggressive and offensive than usual, it wasn't hard to notice.
