Ricky Hatton-Pauli Malignaggi, HBO 10.00est
Been looking for some sort of angle on this fight and can't get away from the fact the dog seems to be overpriced at anything between +200 & +225.
Hatton has fought once in a year since being dismantled by Floyd Mayweather and that was an unimpressive points win over Juan Lazcano, a fight in which he lacked timing and speed, and whilst I wouldn't say he looked disinterested in that, he did look pretty frustrated at times.
He's has had problems making the weight and the only reason I can see that Malignaggi is the price he is is because he's got no punch, if he wins it's got to be on points and given the fact Hattons a brawler it's debateable whether it gets that far.
That's the downside, the upside is Malignaggi has lost only once in his career, to the great Miguel Cotto, and for smallish stakes you could do a lot worse than take the dog. I'm on at
