Yep, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he made Gunnar continue cutting weight when he new he was never going to make 175. He could of said on the Wednesday or even Thursday to UFC and Gunnar that I'm only going to be able to get to 185 so can we agree to meet there or round about. That way Gunnar could of stopped cutting as well. But instead he thought nah, I'll stop cutting so that Im not completely drained out for the fight and let Gunnar keep going. Cant knock him for doing that, but still it would make it more understandable why Joe Silva has cut him. If it wasnt for Gunnar Nelson having a pair of balls and not being a diva that fight would of been cancelled. i just broke my ribs six days ago and i couldn't beat a five year old right now but somehow this stiff Herman couldn't beat a 50 year old man with broken ribs and still isn't cut.

RIP Jeff Blatnick. I really think Blatnick is under appreciated when it comes to the evolution of MMA. First off.. he won a Gold Medal in the Olympics. That alone is HUGE credibility. In the first 3 UFC's some of the commentary was absolutely awful. It was painfully obvious(especially now in retrospect) that virtually all of the commentators knew almost nothing about what they were talking about. Then comes Jeff Blatnick commentating at UFC 4. He's the nicest guy you could ever imagine... but the truth is.. the guy is a beast. He knew the importance of Wrestling and how dominate great wrestlers could potentially be. And to top it off.. he's a nice likable guy!!! But he could kick your ass if he wanted to. I think many of the great MMA Champions have had this exact same type of temperament. From Fedor to GSP to Anderson to Junior Dos Santos. RIP Jeff.
