Stupid manlet! Love these Fuel and FX cards...so much squid potential. I was standing in line and almost threw a Nelson, Mils, Manuwa, San Francisco ML parlay in which would have won over $4K. Decided to be a little more prudent though and spread it out with a max of 2 teams in a parlay. Didn't need any -240 favs murdering me again. I am glad I laid off Miocic though. Struve has a better chin than he gets credit for. Miocic looked gassed by the 2nd and was out on his feet for what seemed like a good minute before the ref stopped it.

Read your story about how you got to see the fights. Good stuff! +EV ticket negotiating

yeah Struve's chin is solid, it's just his defence that is dodgy. Many other fighters that are similar - get labelled as having glass chins when really ther chin isnt bad at all but they just get hit a lot so eventually they are going to fall. I remember a thread on sherdog talking about BIsping having a glass chin! Obviously some guys are a bit of both and some it's hard to tell if it's more a dodgy chin or dodgy defense.

ha yeah, that's twice in a row with UK events now were we've done some +EV ticket negotiating. At the Birmingham event last year (Munoz Leben) my mate managed to get 3 tickets for £60 in total outside the venue - turned out they were tickets that Dana had handed out during the day in Birmingham as part of his twitter give-away thing. Dude selling them outside had no interest in MMA and had just been walking past when he saw a load of people around Dana's bodyguard dude who was handing them out so went over and got a few! We've been pretty lucky really!

How long have you been in Vegas for? Or did you leave after the Benavidez event and then go back for this past wknd?

Yeah, I've come around on Bisping. Nobody can take the full force of an H-Bomb and not get KTFO'd. I guess the same can be said with Struve and the shots he took from JDS, Nelson, Brown. I'm only like a 4-4.5 hour drive from Vegas, so I pop in for the weekends. So many good UFC cards coming up, really want to go to the end of year event.

Ah right, not too bad then...pretty decent living reasonably close to Vegas. I'm def working on heading out next year, me and my buddies are flirting with Vegas and Thailand for Easter time. If I hadn't of gone on a bad run recently and lost loads of my profit I'd of just headed out on my own for week or 2 at end of year as I've still got some holiday time to use up at work for this year Hopefully will have made it back by January

End of year card in Vegas sounds good, hope I can make enough to save up for it

the books that allowed mma parlays have all cut me off, so the ones i'm with now don't allow it... not making as much as i used to.

Yeah, every book in Vegas wants you to have a players card so they can track your plays. Even some 50 year old broad was surprised the book manager approved my $3K parlay with Mills/Nelson. Maybe I gained favor by shitting the bed on Benavidez

You are not required to give them a card or ID, and you should refuse if you're beating them.

I've never handed my players club card to the sportsbook. Didn't know you do that.

                    edit:
(wrote this before reading nunya's response.)

I've only ever bet UFC in Vegas once. Hit Tito Ortiz over Bader at +400, Condit over Stun Gun, Leben over Silva, and Cruz over Faber. Was a great night. I was the only person who thought Tito was going to win. Wasn't at the fights live, though. Watched it from a Vegas bar.

And they are not required to take your action. I wanted to make a $7K bet on a baseball game and they wouldn't take it without a card. The game was almost starting and I didn't have time to hit 2 books. I've noticed anything $2K or more they generally want a card. Although I bet $2,300 on the Cardinals went the game went to OT and they didn't care. NFL they care less because they make more $ off of it. With NHL, MLB, UFC, they are stingy as fukk.
