    WEC 11-5-2008 Governor Quick Picks
In a rush but here's my quick picks for tonight, four parlays.

3 units to win 2.46 units
Uriah Faber -550 vs. Mike Brown
Paulo Filho -185 vs. Chael Sonnen

1.5 units to win 1.23 units
Uriah Faber -550 vs. Mike Brown
Jens Pulver -185 vs. Leonard Garcia

    1 unit to win 1.02
Uriah Faber -550 vs. Mike Brown
Donald Cerrone -140 vs. Rob McCullough

    .3 unit to win 1.14
Uriah Faber -550 vs. Mike Brown
Paulo Filho -185 vs. Chael Sonnen
Jens Pulver -185 vs. Leonard Garcia
Donald Cerrone -140 vs. Rob McCullough

Very tough card to bet on, all the fights (in my eyes) are going to be super competitive with each fighter having a legitimate chance to win. I'm worried about the Pulver/Garcia and Cerrone/McCullough fights, I really think that they could go either way. But parlaying all the fights with Faber gave me the odds that made these plays worthwhile.

I like Sonnen to win. He is no slouch.

My fault, the fights aren't until tomorrow. Now I can actually put some thought into my picks, though i can't take back the money already wagered :-/

I agree with you flying, Sonnen is no slouch, but I think Filho (when he fights to his potential) is on a different level. With his mental issues hopefully figured out, I'm expecting to see the Filho that is ranked number two at 185, not the dud that's been fighting in the WEC.

        **UPDATED CARD**
Canceling Paulo Filho bet (if book didn't do it for you). Moron missed weight by seven pounds on his first try and four pounds on his second.

          Thoughts on tonight

Cerrone continues to move up the food chain with a solid win over ex-champ Razor Rob. Unfortunately, I parlayed him with Faber (get to that in a second).

Very impressed with Leonard Garcia. I thought he was overrated but he proved to me he was legit.

Out of shape uninspired Paulo Filho did what i expected him to do, not perform. When he's focused, man's a beast. When he's not, he's an overrated fighter. Here's to hoping he gets his shit together.

Faber...was too cocky and got caught. Did you see the shot he tried to land when he got hit flush with that right hand? A spinning lunging back elbow. He ran full force into that straight right by Brown.

Overall, awful night for me. Went 1-2 in picking fights, 0-4 in betting (stupid faber) and lost 5.33 units. Since i've been making my bets public (on here and on statfox) I've gone 11-12 so I might have to start keeping my bets to myself again. Was actually winning that way. Hope everyone else did better than me.
