nothing worth investing in right now

not true. i see folks buying 20 dollar scratchoffs daily. if you put that into cardano, tron, ethereum and it is a much better investment. anyone who thinks these 3 will not be standing 10 years from now is a fool.

Not sure that was ever the intended use of BTC. Always viewed it more as a replacement for a bank account instead of an everyday cash replacement. Great at sending money anywhere around the world in an hour or 2 , without any middlemen in between. Not useful for going to the store to buy coffee.

Guess the hope was by now, some quick payment layer would have been built on top of bitcoin, that allowed it to used for instant transactions. Thought that was the whole point of the lightning network. Doesn't seem like that has caught on yet, though.

i think there is a dual purpose. investing and sending money. for those that don't send money it is an investment. most don't want to use their crypto to buy coffee. but it should be an available option to be accepted universally. and making it easy to acquire as a bank account will make a huge difference. but as an investment, we are at a prime opportunity as we are really on the ground level. digital currency is the future.

how are Cardano and Tron different than Terra Luna? i am not trying to be a smart asss, i am just asking the differences.

i am only investing in BTC right now.

i stopped on ETH where i am and am standing there.

stopped at less on SOL, AXS, LTC, AVAX, BNB.

Opti, that will truly be ironic if Schiff's clients get locked out of their $$. All that for a low handling fee of 2% per year.

Complete joke that BOTH Mashinsky and Schiff have managed to lock out their clients out since that video. Does bring to light the concept of Counterparty Risk that shows up in so many finance videos.

I really hope Nadal can play the next match, b/c that would make for a classic. Word is that Nadal really was on brink of retiring today. Guy is dealing with a significant injury (abdomen?).

I hold some. Have only made a few buys in L6 months. Long on BTC, I'd say, just trying to hang on.

I saw that heading, yes. I've seen so many athlete assault accusations that I take a "Wait and See" stance on those.

Totally agree. I have just kept buying incrementally since january. I will continue to.

Doing the same but small amounts here for now, waiting more until the end of the year early next year to really start to buy again just incase. I won't ever go against the cycle and understand where the bottom always happens during them. Either way i'm long term anyway and happy where im at today. The only confusing part for me is that double top from last year and don't really know what will happen this year, could be another confusing move that we didn't expect.

Wish we got more updates about El Salvador. When I DON'T hear updates from El Salv...I wonder if BTC is being less accepted.

More civil unrest in places like Sri Lanka. Wonder if BTC is part of the solution.

I'm no smarter than the next guy. Wonder if Putin offers a labor-for-gold solution.

Chucker there are so many factors to consider so to dial out the noise I am looking at the long game.

I believe it is definitely a risk but a worthwhile speculation that ~10 years from now, BTC will be significantly higher than it is now.

Just my feeling.

I do think there is information to be gleaned from the now-famous Schiff/Mashinsky debate. These two were haranguing each other over which guy to invest with. Turns out the answer is a resounding...NEITHER. Brings to light the concept of Counter-party Risk. Trust no one with your finances, that's the way to go.

Chucker, I think if I'm 57 or older I'm not taking much of a chance but I'm actually 47 so if I lose $20k or $30k I'm okay with it on this type of spec play.

I'm calculating this risk but I understand it's not for everyone.

Good health to you on whatever is best for you given your particular circumstances. I will certainly become more and more risk averse as I creep closer and closer to retirement.
