    Thursday picks ( 150-160 -29.55 )
This is one hell of a bad run. I was up over 20 units last week. Oh well, when you play a large amount of plays and wager alot each day you can have these big swings. I still hope we can get back in the black for May. Great fade right now it seems.

    Mets +102 (1st 5) risk 3

    Mets/Reds u4 -130 (first 5) risk 5.20

The mets certainly possess one of the worst pens in the majors and until some changes are made , you almost have to stick to these first 5 inning wagers. I dont really like first 5 wagers and have pretty varying success on my sheets with them, sometimes teams take a while to wake up, especially in these day games after a night game.

Dickey is having an amazing year her especially at home where he is 3-0 with an ERA below 2. I am a little worried about the knuckler after the line drive he took off his right forearm but he stayed in the game against Miami. Latos had a rough outing last game against the nationals and really had trouble with his command. Both of these pitchers are solid in the numbers department so I am taking a punt on this under in the first five.

    Indians -1 -109 risk 8.72

    Indians -149 risk 4.47

This is more of a wager on team form than pitchers. Noesi gets the start for Seattle and he has an ERA of over 6 and is coming off a rough outing against the Yankees and has basically had two decent starts all year against the A's and the Twins. Cleveland is really hammering the ball lately, racking up 19 runs in the last 3 games.

The mariners are displaying their usual putrid offense on the road, racking up all of 4 runs in their last 3 games and are 1-5 in their last 6. Outside of the Twins, the Mariners are putting up some of the worst numbers in baseball on the road

    Tigers -1.5 -110 risk 2.2

    Tigers -1 -164 risk 3.28

The Tigers and Porcello cost me last night, Porcello got shelled and they came back but the pitching really let them down yesterday. Losing Jackson is a huge loss to the tigers and this team has some major problems if they dont get Valverde healthy soon. The Twins may actually be a different team with Morneau back but the Tigers have an enormous advantage on the mound with Fister facing a guy recalled from Triple A. Jackson is a huge loss here but the Tigers should get some runs today against Walters.

    Angels -1 -106 risk 9.54

    Angels -151 risk 4.53

    Giants -1 +115 risk 1

    Nationals -1 +106 risk 9

    Nationals -139 risk 6.95

The Nationals, in my opinion , have one of the strongest rotations in baseball with Strasburg, Gonzalez and Zimmerman. Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez have been been phenomenal and while Zimmerman is only 2-3 , he is posting an ERA of only 2.14. Zimmerman is coming off an excellent 1 run, 5 hit start on Saturday against Cincy and with the nationals 5-2 in their last 7 and posting one of the best home records in baseball, this one is worth a punt. Mcdonald is having a solid year but the Pirates have such a poor offense that even a great pitching year is only going to get you a 2-2 record.

    Phillies -1 -136 risk 8.16

    Phillies -166 risk 4.98

    Phillies pk (1st 5) risk 6.72

Halladays record is deceiving, 3-3 is pretty average for someone like Roy Halladay but he really has only one bad game against Atlanta. Its tough to win games when you are getting 1 or 2 runs in run support. The phillies are hitting the ball alot better and are on a four game win streak and are starting to see the bats wake up. Facing Volstad who is 0-10 since july of last year and a cubs bullpen that is almost as bad as the Mets. Halladay doesnt have great numbers at wrigley but the Phillies are playing great ball and I dont see any sort of mechanics problems with him, he should finally get some run support here.

    Yankees -1 +106 risk 7

    Yankees -111 risk 3.33

Some other losing picks, I need to spread my losses around here

    Kings (nhl) -.5 reg -116 risk 11.60

    Kings -1 -121 risk 2.42

    Pacers +110 risk 6

    Pacers +2 -110 risk 2
