    CC tomorrow
Should be fairly easy money. I hope the Brewers lose, but if the Cubs send out their scrubs again against Sabathia...

You would think it would be a massacre. I know better than to make guarantees or talk about "LOCK"s, but Brewers should be a safe bet tomorrow, even if the moneyline is -250 or whatever.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Cubs will play the A lineup tomorrow. Lou said before the series he would only rest his staters one game this series because he didn't want to give them too many days off in a row. Since everyone was rested today and they are off Monday expect the A lineup out tomorrow.

Be very careful with CC. He has been overused the 2nd half of the year, is a power pitcher, and will be pitching on 3 days of rest for the 3rd straight game.

On the other hand Marshall is not a pitcher who scares me and I believe he's pitching for the Cubs

Scratch that pitching note from the Cubs.....

Carlos Zambrano is expected to start Sunday's season finale for the Chicago Cubs on three days' rest, but he won't pitch more than an inning or two against the Milwaukee Brewers.

It will be a playoff tuneup for Zambrano, scheduled to pitch Game 2 of Chicago's first-round series Thursday.

"I think he'd rather go through the routine of starting as opposed to just pitching an inning or two out of the bullpen," manager Lou Piniella said before Saturday's game at Milwaukee.

Piniella plans to use the rest of Sunday's game to get his relievers some work before the postseason.

Meanwhile, Cubs catcher Geovany Soto (hand) and infielder Mark DeRosa (strained calf) were not in the lineup for Saturday's game at Milwaukee. Piniella said Soto would have played Saturday if the Cubs were in the playoffs, but DeRosa needs a few more days to heal.

nah, not Zambrano. Angel Gonzalez. What should the line be? -400?

CC vs. some crappy pitcher who hasn't pitched in ages anyway?

Full lineup or not, I wouldn't underestimate how much the Cubbies would enjoy keeping the Brewers from making the postseason. And you will have to pay a premium to back CC (-230?) tomorrow, knowing that if on short rest he can only give the team 5-6 innings, that still leaves 9-12 outs from Milwaukee's disgusting pen. Anything but a lock.

I think rjt nailed it on the head, plus the fact that the Brewers are a young team that has been playing tightly lately to begin with. If this is a close game in the late innings, Milwaukee will really be feeling the pressure.

Yes but laying big chalk like that is insane and you might have won this game but when you do lose you lose big... But seriously this was not a hard game to cap..

Motovaited CC pitching agianst a team that had set them self up with home field tru the NL playoffs... -175 is still to high to lay this bet...

ok, you said it's easy to handicap and you also said laying the chalk is insane.

I think laying it was a smart bet because the game was so easy to handicap. The Brewers weren't going to lose that game. Obviously games where you can almost guarantee a winner aren't going to come at generous odds.

I'm mad that the Brewers won, but I saw it coming.

truth is, though, the Cubs did keep it close. For some reason, the Brewers couldn't hit the junk pitching being thrown at them.
