BOL to you today too. i heard you on the Nats game - i mean, the bats have to wake up sometime, right? my one concern there is that there is a 10 mph wind to right-center. beyond that, have a solid under ump in Diaz and two teams that have been playing really low-scoring, tight games (i think that the injury to Phillips has hurt the Reds offense more than anyone would've expected, though part of this is due to visiting DC at a time when the Nats SPs are going really well). both Leake and Detwiler had solid first starts (Leake just made a couple of notable mistakes that the Cards took yard). also guessing that we'll have a couple of surprises in the lineups given that it's Sunday so guessing that this moves to 7'.

you in DC? i'm originally from Richmond. live in Cleveland now, but i know all about those muggy spring mornings near the Chesapeake. speaking of, was writing somewhere last night that i think that the two most pleasant surprises in MLB so far are the Nats and the O's (though hard to ignore the Dodgers).

I'm in Jersey, have a buddy in DC I try to get to couple games a year. Nats sure seem scrappy. I like their second baseman Espinoza to have a breakout year though struggling so far.

BOL Hot Wings. i wanted to take both White Sox and Tribe, but Tigers and Royals trying to avoid the sweep is keeping me off. wouldn't be surprised if you're right on both of those. two leans i'm still considering are PIT/SF over 7 (and getting juiced) and Rockies. not sure how much of that Rocks lean is seller's remorse for Pomeranz from being a Tribe fan, so maybe i should reconsider that.

gotta tell you, i used to really dislike Hawk, but after taking in a bunch of Sox games at work on MLB.tv, i've changed my tune. he's really fun to imitate, i work on it all broadcast and my Hawk impression is coming along pretty well. he's a little goofy, but i now understand why Sox fans love him. "the beautiful ballpark in the beautiful cityyyyyy."

Yeah the guy is kind of funny he makes me laugh a couple times each broadcast. Huge homer for sure kind of like Mickey Redmond with the Redwings. I catch some of there games on WGN occasionally.

Hawk has become a cartoon character here in Chicago. Dont get me wrong, hes the ultimate homer, and I love that about him. So when things are going bad, he's pissed, just like me. It's nice to hear someone on the air vent when you're team isnt playing up to its potential. But I could see how it can be VERY annoying for fans of opposing teams listening to him.
