Three way tie on 90-72?

I have been visiting this site for a while but never registered i need to know if anyone can explain in simple english as you see my post i was suppose to be born as an english proffeser but badluck that i became an cab driver.Enough about myself let 's go to bussienes in case of last 3 games series suppose if philadelphia loss 2 and win 1 they will finish 90-72.Mets go 2 win loss 1 they will finish 90-72.same goes for milwaukee 2 win loss 1 they will finish 90-72. so now who will be div champ and wild card and how it will sorted out any knowledge ?will be thankfull .oh yes my regards to illusion and willibe i read you guys every day.:

A playoff game will only be held if one of the teams involved in the tiebreaker could be eliminated without maiking the playoffs. So, they will not have a playoff game if the mets and phils are tied and milwaukee is eliminated -- they will use a tiebreaker (h2h i believe) and name one the div winner, the other the WC.

So apparently, it only reverts to head-to-head season series tiebreaker if EXACTLY two teams from same division are tied, and NOT is two teams from same division are part of a multiple-team tie.

Head to head is only used when both teams are guaranteed a playoff spot. For example, in 2005, the Red Sox and Yankees finished with 95 wins I think. Since whoever finished second would have the wild card spot, they didn't do the one game playoff. The Yankees won the division and the Red Sox got the wild card on head to head record.
