So the White Sox shut out the A's on Monday, then the A's shut out the White Sox on Tuesday. How should we handle game 3?

Read my post with the plays..you play EVERY play. That is what was told to me when I asked. One will win and one you will play as your next bet...

Hey guys. What do you think of grabbing the run line when your team is a significant dog? For example, the A's are at -145 today getting the 1.5. In theory we could accomplish both game 3 of fading the a's and nab game one of fading the sox at the same time.

in a simpler world, I did this with the Astros two games ago and was able to close that series with a one run loss. Of course, my unit size is $25 so the extra chalk doesn't cause a lot of heartburn.

Thanks for updating the games guys, appreciate it! Just a Q is anyone tracking the individual game records? I missed a bunch of series in the fade and just wanted to see if the overall game 1 and 2 are balancing more towards 50/50 now.

TeamNookMum - ur up 30+ units on the fade with a labby or a chase? I'm down units but playing conservative labby (and missed about 5-6 easy game 1-2 clears last 2-3 weeks), maybe i should follow ur lines!

I'm on a labby. With the help some of very knowledgeable ppl on this forum I was able to copy someone else's style of labby. I start with 5-5-5-5-5 and risk 10. If I win I remove the number from each end so I get x-5-5-5-x. If I lose I add my original numbers (5+5+5+5+5) + what I lost and divide by the numbers I have.

So if I lost 15, I add 25+15.which gives me 40. Divide that by 5 and my new line is 8-8-8-8-8 and move onto the next game.

Ill also note I'm on a 3 line labby.

Game 1 = 19-20
Game 2 = 12-8
Game 3 = 2-5
Game 4 = 3-2
Game 5 = 0-2
Game 6 = 1-1

FADE - Straight Chase = +36.3 units
Game 1 = 18-20
Game 2 = 8-12
Game 3 = 6-5
Game 4 = 2-2
Game 5 = 2-0
Game 6 = 0-0

Thanks for the explanation TeamNookMum - I'm guessing you are not adding new numbers to the line? So if you have 5-5-5-5-5 you still keep 5 values regardless of how high it has grown? Thats pretty ballsy glad it worked out!

Thanks DollarBill for providing the individual stats, appreciate the help! Based on past stats one should avoid straight chasing the tail system, it usually end up with 4-5 losses a year and you eventually end up barely breaking even.

I found the numbers here. Over a six-year span the fade system actually had six more losses than the tail system. Have you seen other numbers elsewhere?

I looked at your link, you are right when it was back tested to go to the 6 game chase for the tail the tail did finish better.

I found either the original poster of the system or someone who made some changes to the original system back in the winter and they always used a 5 game tail, I forgot the reason and i cant seem to find the thread (it may have been on another site as well). But those stats he posted showed the fade always had fewer losses than the tail so that always stuck with me. He also suggested you never play both sides if you follow both systems, because you would pay extra juice, play the better line and then either continue the other or subtract the winnings from your next bet.

If you look at last year 6 game tail had 4 losses, so if you use the martingale chase you would ultimately lose money or be slightly up. Almost everyone who has gone through the system have stressed using labby. Ultimately you have to decide your own risk, you just have to be careful with the chase systems because potentially you could be down big early..

Loving this system. Added it to my labby arsenal last year, but was betting way to much. The key is to bet well within your means, even more than you would normally and you'll be fine. Lets keep making that money fellas!!
