I grabbed the NYY real early on the overnight line. Rivera blew it late. Yanks outhit the Royals and still lost. This squeaker will be corrected today. More picks potentially to come.

Marlins/Cubs is on the contrarian radar. It's a pick at this time. Waiting for line movement confirmation. Won't know this one until it approaches game time. As a side note, I will be in attendance at the game. Will be checking the PDA right up to first pitch.

no accessment can be determined relating to the Marlins/Cubs until right before gametime in order to confirm the play. Consider these plays like when they tell you to buy a stock and everybody keeps buying. That's a clear sign to short and go the other way. On a game that's a pick ,is easier to determine, compared to other line moves.

How bout that OAK play last night

I appreciate your interest. As you know, the angle does not present itself all the time.

Some numbers on the Marlins/Cubs game.

                Sean Marshall: 38 Innings Pitched, 3.55 ERA, 10 BB, 33 K'S, 7 HR, 33 hits

                1.13 WHIP .441 SLG .284 OBA

                Anibal Sanchez 17.2 Innings Pitched, 4.08 ERA, 7 BB's, 14 K's, 2 HR's, 17 Hits

                1.36 WHIP .391 SLG .342 OBA

Sanchez has recently come back from shoulder surgery and should be getting stronger with every start. Or, he may never be the same pitcher he was.

Hidden in last nights Marlins meltdown was the fact that their bats are still ice cold.

They scored 5 runs on FOUR hits a night after getting shut out by the Cardinals.

Even though I think the Marlins have an excellent shot at a win, I have little faith in their offense right now. An offense that that lead the majors in HR's up until a few days ago is a distant memory right now.

An interesting note, if Cantu hits another 3 or 4 HR's, every Marlins infielder will have at least 25 HR's. I know that's never been done in the NL and I will check the AL.

The contrarian approach would of definitely bet against NYY. However there are times when being long, as we say in the financial markets makes sense. I had to sweat out the extra innings but a win is a win. Cincy on the other hand was priced oddly enough. Cincy should of been at least +125 based on power numbers and the obvious standings. However, contrarian plays are a great way to pick up your bankroll/unit values. Play two in a day, split = profit margin hit two in a day= great return. Two losers = you don't get destroyed on the units. Give it a chance boys.
