His home/road splits are moot in this argument. Please read up on BAbip.

Ryan I'm trying to explain but you aren't following. Holliday's home/road splits in THIS argument are moot. They do a great job showing how overrated he is offensively, but they don't prove Coors helps Holliday more than Dunn. Dunn receives a bigger boost by Coors because he hits more fly balls. Does that make sense to you?

Astros -160 is my play for the early games.

            Pitching advantage = Astros
            Batting advantage = Astros

Hot Team = Astros (11-2 in August)
Cold Team = Giants (6-6 in August with two lucky winners thanks to two Dodgers blown saves)

Hot pitcher Brian Moehler for the Astros.
Correia has a 5.82 road ERA

They have almost the same exact OPS at Coors, but Holliday needs a .390 BAbip to do it versus .333 for Dunn. I'm not comfortable making this comparison because of Dunn's small sample size, though.

i understand what you are saying, you cannot pick and choose which days haren or dunn will have good games or bad

but i can say with certainty that holliday will have more good games at coors than anyone else, because he does. obviously he is overrated but his stats at coors cannot be ignored.

dunn strikes out more than holliday right? so thats less fly balls right there

                    Dunn: 37% GB%
                    Holliday: 46% GB%

what about holliday at coors? whats his gb %
also, if dunn k's more, than holliday has a better chance in non strikeout at bats to get hits or homers

also, you are arguing manny is better than dunn? you moneyball guys are wrong about dunn.

Dunn better than Manny? Hell, Brian Giles is better than Manny.

And don't call me a moneyball guy that makes no sense. If anything call me a sabermetric enthusiast.

I cannot find home/away GB% splits but there's no way there is a big disparity.

I misread your post. I agree with you that Dunn is much better than Manny. And as I said in the last post I think even Giles is better than Manny.

Pat is the one who thinks Manny is better, and I would not call him a "moneyball guy" and I do not believe he is big into sabermetrics. I could be wrong, though.
