    Sunday Interleague Value Plays
    I went 1-1 yesterday -0.23 units.

    Marlins +140
    Pros:
The Rays will give the ball to Edwin Jackson (4-5, 4.06 ERA), who tries to win consecutive starts for the first time since his first two outings of the season. He allowed four runs and a season high-tying 10 hits in seven innings Monday, but got credit for a 13-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Jackson is 0-2 with a 11.88 ERA in three career appearances against Florida, including two starts. Florida starter Ricky Nolasco (6-4, 4.63) has pitched well over his last seven outings, going 5-1 with a 3.51 ERA. He won Tuesday by giving up three unearned runs over six innings in a 5-4 victory over Philadelphia. The right-hander has never pitched at Tropicana Field, but he won his lone start against Tampa Bay on June 27, 2006, by giving up three runs over 6 1-3 innings in an 8-4 victory. I see these two teams as the same with the Rays being slightly better. That is why starting pitching is essentially what will decide these games, since the bullpens and offenses are the same.

    Cons:
The Rays are a little better than the Marlins. Also, the Rays win 75% of games where they are favorites.

    Giants +100
Pros: I know it seems ballsy, but I think the Giants can pull out a win here. The Giants usually end up getting one win in their 3 game series with the A's. This matchup seems to be most opportune for the Giants. Correia was sharp in two rehab starts for Triple-A Fresno, allowing two runs, eight hits and striking out 15 over 12 innings. This will be Correia's first career start against the A's. He has thrown 3 1-3 scoreless innings over three relief appearances against Oakland. Eveland gave up two runs, four hits and six walks in six innings of a 3-1 loss to the New York Yankees on Tuesday. The left-hander, who walked a career-high seven in his previous start against Detroit, has lost his last two decisions, and has just one victory in his last eight starts. Also, the A's have little offense. The Giants hit .269 as a team versus lefties.

Cons: The A's are good in interleague play.
