Though it scares me to be going with the crowd here...

I love Shields of late, and Moose still scares me-- BUT Shields has always struggled against the Yankees. In his five starts against the Yanks, he has only once given up less than four runs (4, 4, 5, 10, 2). Moose's career ERA against TB is <3.5.

Plus, Shields is coming off of pitching a complete game shutout. The only other time he's done that this season, he gave up 7 in 3 innings the next game.

Shields could pitch a Duesy, but to get the Yanks at decent plus money, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Hard not to like the Marlins here as the pitching matchups are near even and other wise the Marlins are the better team. Reds stuggled to get by the Marlins with a much better pitcher yesterday.

This should be a good pitching match with both Contreras (CWS) and Lackey(LAA) in a low scoring duel. I like the left handed batting power CWS have against the right hander Lackey.

KC +125: ive said it before in previous posts and i'll say it again. next year hochevar will be favored in every game he pitches. he is THAT good. he has 4 pitches that all have the ability to make any hiter lok stupid, problem is he lacks full command and often issues walks. but his stuff is so good that he can get himself out of any jams he puts himslf in. whether or not he wins tonight has little to do with the fact that he will soon be a dominant pitcher on the level of pedro martinez when he was on top of his game. he should have these aggressive tiger hitters flailing away at offspeed stuff all night and then blowing em away with either the 4 seamer up in the zone or the cutter in on the hands. im telln you, this kid is a stud.
