yeah, i think this game would be a toss up on a neutral field- but the halos are playing an early east coast game, against a good young pitcher at home (who the halos have seen for all of 2 innings before). plus their pen is bad - walden is the only solid arm in the pen right now and he threw last night. imo haren needs to go 7 for them to have a shot...if anyone likes the halos, id take them first 5. no way id trust that bullpen right now.

A lot of different reasons, paco. LAA's bullpen was used up the night before. Hellickson, as expected, pitched very well, and for the most part, no Angels had seen him before. LAA rarely hits for Haren. Very early start (9 a.m. their time) for LAA. I actually thought having Manny out of the lineup would benefit TB too, because Manny's done.

I'd take the bet again if you put it in front of me. Just wasn't the Rays' day, or mine either.

Those are exactly my two plays today after going 2-0 yesterday. They do seem "too easy" but the price is pretty good and the stats simply point on them as the best bets today.

one thing i can tell you is romero shows up against poor offensive teams! dont know how the jays will fair against cahill though

Very good start to the season NC! I like fading Atlanta again. I bet Mil last nite after they got there 1st win against of the year. Usually teams once they break a losing streak win the next game as well. I am looking for Boston to win and then I will be on them the next game, hopefully that is Friday nite against Yanks.

Lyon, why are you fading Atlanta? The way you described it, you are betting on Milwaukee. Do you have other reasons?

Braves have not seen Marcum and Atlanta historically struggles against any pitcher they have not seen. Also, get out of town down day for Atlanta eyeing there show down with Philly this weekend at home, last game of road trip. Mil, has seen Hanson and has hit him a little. Neither pitcher opened the season well but I see Marcum the most likley to bounce back today.
