5x5 Fantasy Baseball

After seein the other thread dwindle down for the past few days after so much immediate fervor, I've decided to start a regular, 5x5 (R,HR,RBI,SB,AVG / W,SV,K,WHIP,ERA) league. It'll be run through Yahoo and will be identical to last year's league, which ended up being a lot of fun.

Here are the rules:

# of Teams: 12
Scoring: H2H (you get 1 point for winning each category... example - If I win all offense and lose all pitching, my record is 5-5 for that week)
Offense: 1 at each position + 2 util
Pitching: 2 SP, 2 RP, 4 P
Other: 5 Bench, 2 DL
Max Acquisitions per week: 6

ENTRY FEE will be 55 points. Winner takes 550, second place takes 110.

That should be everything. If you want to join, send the points to INFAMOUSBACARDI (when he eventually posts in this thread), as he will be the one collecting points. For those weary about sending points, Bacardi collected last year and paid out the day after the season ended, so should be no worrying about being stiffed. I'll send out PM's to those who send points with login info.

Hey guys, I was the commissioner last year, but this year Hoosier has decided to take the reins on that which is great. However, we aren't exactly sure how the process works with transferring points to SBR Pros and Non-Pros. At any rate, the way it is going to work is that Hoosier will be the commish, and I will hold the points. I've been an active member since '08, have never stiffed or slow paid anyone, and as Hoosier said, I ran the league and points last year by myself, and paid out the day after the playoffs ended in the fantasy league. This is a legitimate league, and please, only enter and send points if you are SERIOUS! Last year's league was HIGHLY competitive, and we had a great run of it.
All that being said, the first 10 people (2 spots are filled already) to post up their 50 point entry fee to me will be confirmed by me as in the league.
Please, transfer points ONLY IN THIS POST.

We'll get interest eventually. There are tons of people who will come into the baseball forum come spring training and it'll fill. In light of the new information posted about WarriorFan and his league, Bacardi collected and paid out points immediately last year, and he would not stiff anyone (Last years thread http://forum.sbrforum.com/baseball-h...has-ended.html).

Lets fill this thing up!

Hey NY. Sounds good, you are in as soon as you post up the points...we will consider all options for scoring, however, we only have 10 categories possible for scoring, 5 offense and 5 pitching. We need Wins, Saves, Ks, ERA, and maybe even whip. Whip is the last category, and we will probably keep that instead of K/9, because we already have a total K category. Interesting... I have no idea how I was able to do it if you're not able to. Maybe that's the reason why we can't get any interest this year.

I'd be willing to make it a 30 point entry fee if anyone is willing to submit 2 points 15 times.

Anybody know a way to circumvent this point transfer thing? I was able to somehow transfer 55 points as a non-pro. Ideas?

Of course, if someone wants to play and can't make that draft time, I'm more than willing to change that.

D3...your spot is reserved, you are good...however, Hoosier, I say all points have to be transferred by the time of the draft...we can't have any messing around after that...

I changed the date of the draft to the 26th. Everybody that wants in start transferring points as early as possible. You have 28 days to get bacardi your 55 points!
