#1682I think the books have caught on with you using hp ump to determine u/o successfully and paid mlb.com to post conflicting info.Originally posted by Dexteryeah, and it has Bill Welke as the 3b ump yet Bill Welke shows at HP in Bos/Bal

#1683Let's hope they can keep the rest of the game scoreless in that Angels game... well one more run won't hurt I suppose!! Weaver and the LA pitching can keep this Seattle team scoreless for the rest of the game... we just gotta hope Seattle can keep the Angels bats quiet!!Comment -

#1687Wow, Fister pitched out of some trouble there... It's scaring me though that he keeps on putting the leadoff batter on base. I agree with you, Anthony, he needs to be replaced next inningComment -

#1712Dex I'm new to the thread but have been following for a while. Very nice job. Couple quick questions if you have a second:
1. It seems there are several umps who have distinct over/under leans this season. Timmons and Gorman are two examples. Is there a reason your system doesn't add in new umps during the year? Is it just a sample size issue?
2. How strict are you with your A1-A3 plays? For example, does the Yankees under not qualify tonight because Hellickson is at 1.19 rather than 1.00 or below?
Thanks and continued good luck!Comment -

#17141. the A4 system factors in umps who have had a 58% or greater for the last 2 seasons. guys like timmons and gorman could become A4 umps next year, if they had performed the same way in 2010. i can do an in season revision and add umps, but id rather get the full season sample size.Originally posted by sacks13Dex I'm new to the thread but have been following for a while. 2. correct - if you look at post #1 of this thread you will see the formula i use for A1, A2, and A3. 1.00 or < and 1.80 or > is a must for the pitchers last 3 starts.
Thx.Comment -
