Whether Congress is right or wrong here is immaterial - Clemens only has himself to blame.

I agree on the second part, but allowing Congress the hypocrisy themselves? Are you serious? Are you going to let judges, law enforcement agencies, etc., operate scot-free on such issues that have far more grave consequences and demand throwing the book at an athlete for lying about taking performance enhancing drugs? Really? Did you believe the tesitmony that Fehr and Selig gave about not knowing? Selig was reminded no less than four times that he was under oath during the testimony he gave in January 2007, and still lied.

If Clemens and Tejada and anyone else lied, then penalize them. But when you do, don't declare victory for anything. You could be next.

Nothing but a mindless twit would think Clemens going to jail was justice while Fehr and Selig get off from their part in the whole scheme. If you just don't like Clemens, think he's an asshole, and that's why you want him to get in trouble, that part I can understand. Think it's petty, but I understand it. Clemens would be foolish to go to trial. The Feds have a 95% conviction rate. They do not like to lose. They'll offer to settle and if Clemens refuses they will use all their resources to bury Clemens.
