#10Great news, was afraid when I clicked on that and saw "three pitchers" that Teheran, Vizcaino or Delgado would be involved, don't like seeing Harris go as he's been pitching well lately and is a pretty good guy from everything I've heard, but I still absolutely love this trade.Comment -

#14They will put Glaus on DL on Friday and Lee will join the team in Chicago. They will rest Glaus for 15 days and have him practice playing 3rd base and when he comes back he will be playing 3rd.Comment -

#15It looks like a win for the Cubs short of a Braves WS and all three prospects not fanning out. Lopez is the one that will hurt, tons of potential as a young 19 year old. I'm not going to bash Wren yet, but I'd like to be on the fleecing side once in a while. Still, Lee is a big improvement over an injured Glaus, and hopefully when he comes back from the DL for the postseason Braves fans can feel better about the trade.
Although word has been out for much of the day that Derrek Lee was on the way to Atlanta in a waiver deal, the deal wasn’t made official until 5:25 Eastern Time, according to Fox Sports’s Ken…
e: Glaus@3rd is silly, unless he's drinking unicorn blood or something. He was already below avg defensively at 1st.Comment -

#18It wasn't Cox's call. Frank Wren wants him to rest for a week and go up the road in Gwinnett and practice playing 3rd. Glaus if he has Lee and McCann in front of him will get some pitches to hit. He just needs a week to rest his legs.Comment -

#19I guess I should probably clarify that having him try out third in Gwinnett as an experimental thing is fine by me, but assuming he's as pathetic at third as you would expect, it would be just stupid to put him at third and take Omar out of the lineup. If he can prove to be a somewhat decent third basemen, then by all means let him play there for a couple of weeks, and if his bat doesn't heat up, then you might as well let him go.Comment -

#20You can't let people go now. What happens if Prado breaks his pinkie again? Glaus is good. He was always a 3B. Easiest position to play. They make 2-3 plays every game compared to 1B.Comment -

#23Yeah you're right, letting him go wouldn't make too much sense, but burying him on the bench so he doesn't keep racking up AB's and costing us $$$ is fine by me.Comment -

#24Yeah, we gotta at least get to the series this year. I'm biased on Lee because he's from my side of town. Hope Glaus and the bunch can break out of their funk down the stretch.Comment -

#25Great pickup for Braves. Lee wanted out of Chicago and it showed in his play.
Watch out for Braves in the post season, they could go deep!
