If you don't like the line-up, don't watch! Problem solved. Glad to be of service!

this event has turned into the slam dunk contest
i want to see lebron/kobe/wade in the slam dunk contest, just like i want to see pujols/fielder/ryan howard/vlad guerrero in the hr derby
can't believe you guys are defending this lineup
you would really rather see chris young and nick swisher than pujols and fielder?

Hanley Ramirez best value here IMO. Putting small bet on him.

not the best HR derby lineup, should replace ortiz wells and ramirez. I'm also on Hart to win at 7.5-1

Yea i was just talking about this to a buddy of mine. I think the derby might mess peoples swings up or something. Remember when Abreau won a few years back, after that he wasnt the same for 3-4 years

Not a great card for the HR derby, but why would some of these stars want to do it anyway? The HR Derby takes alot out of a guy and it is not as easy as it seems. I think this is a NO PLAY today.

The Homerun Derby is starting to be like watching the NBA Dunk Contest. Nobody cares because the big name players are not involved.

2010 State Farm Home Run Derby - Odds to Win

Yea, A lot of guys decline to take part in the home run derby in fear of messing up their swings.

Fish, "popular" is a relative term. If by "popular", you mean a certain segment of the sporting obsessed population will get jazzed up every for years for a month for the World Cup, then I think U R already there. If by "popular", you mean overtake one of the big 3 (or four, if you want to include hockey), I don't think that will happen in your life-time...

the flop festival that featured 1 goal in 119 minutes did nothing to win new fans over. I was at a sports bar where many people were watching soccer obviously for the 1st time. At the beginning of the match, there were 15 out of the 30 tv's were on the match. By the 2nd half there were 5 tv's on it. That is all you need to know right there.

For homeruns? AL Cabrera is fine but what about Guerero and Hamilton and league leading Bautista or Youk? NL Votto, Dunn Pujols...I guess since its a homerun derby the top 4 in homers should be in

al i already posted who i considered more marketable/more fun to watch
pujols
fielder
ryan howard
vladimir guerrero
anyone thinking this field is anything close to watching juiced up bonds/mcgwire/sosa/giambi, griffey jr, etc go at it is crazy
kind of like having to watch nate robinson and dwight howard in the slam dunk contest when we should get kobe/lebron/wade - good old days had jordan/dr j/dominique

Tough call, Hart would be my choice if I had to wager.
I like the derby better than non USA world cup games
