The Dodgers scored several runs off errors. I had the Yanks and still think it was a reasonable play.

Depends on what you paid for the Yanks - I never feel safe betting against them (like last night)

Few Years Back, i believe in August of the 2008 Season, Mets had a 7-0 lead on the phillies with Pedro Martinez on the mound in a close division race and lost 8-7 in extras. One of the worst for me, that and the braves come back vs the reds.

Twinkies scoring 5 runs in the 9th, and then covering the RRL in extras against the Phillies two weeks ago.

Baseball is full of these bad beats. Though I never seem to be on the winning side of an amazing comeback. I seem to always taste the defeat.

Just saw the highlights on Sportscenter. Didn't have anything on the game. Musta sucked bad if you had Dodgers. It wasn't exactly the ghosts of Ruth and Gehrig hitting Broxton like that. thats when it really hurts. Had the Reds on that game in Atlanta when they blew the 9-3 lead in the bottom of the 9th on a walkoff grandslam by a guy I never heard of and still couldn't tell you his name today if my life depended on it. These things are gonna happen to you 2 or 3 times a season but you will also win some like that too. Usually evens out in the long run.

To answer the original question, you're not even close.

May 1, 1973 . . . Giants trail Pittsburgh, 7-1, bottom of the ninth with a man on first and TWO OUTS. SF scores SEVEN RUNS to win, 8-7.
