This guy has so much heart and single-handedly wins games. Simply a winner.

Kind of odd how somebody thats not in the top 35 can win an MVP.

In fact, in 3 full seasons with the Red Sox, he has won 2007 Rookie of the year, 2008 Gold Glove, 2008 Silver Slugger, and 2008 MVP.

He did have down year last year though, batting only .296 with 115 runs scored 15 homers and 20 steals.

He's good, still prefer a healthy Aaron Hill over him.

Nice to see a guy who makes up for not having the most talent with having one of the best attitudes and strongest work ethics.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the little guy that's scrappy and does the little things right. Pedroia is maybe the best example of a guy like that.

I read somewhere a year or so back that he is the best 2 strike hitter in the game as for average, pretty solid stat if true.

Well he is definitely one of the top 10 ballplayers in the mlb. He knows how to play the game the right way and his attitude rubs off onto his teammates. Now talent-wise he's not even in the top 50, but baseball is sport where talent doesn't mean shit if you're trying to win games.
