Hes only pitched two games. I'd like to see him in a few more against more competitive teams.

I don't think it's fair to give him the title just yet. I think Heyward in Atlanta might have something to say about that.

I think it's to early to have him as the favorite to win ROY. You got Heyward in Atlanta who's playing really well, Mike Leake in Cincy pitching very well also. Lets wait till August before you can pick a front runner. He has pitched two good games to start but it's a long baseball season.

i dont see how he can be favored after only 2 starts, but washington was smart to schedule his 1st 2 games against bad teams to get him off to a good start

he is a shoo-in for the award barring injury or collapse...Leake was 5-0 with around a 2.50 era at one point - if Strasberg gets to that record ESPN will start talking cy young lol...not saying he doesn't deserve it, but with all the attention he gets he has a huge advantage

We still don't know how he handles himself in shutdown situations. And we know Heyward can hit in clutch situations. Nonetheless, will he even be eligible for the award? Stan Kasten has suggested he won't finish out the season.

Isn't he at a disadvantage because he missed the first two months of the season?

It Heyward - barring some miracle like Stras going 15-1 in his 18 or so starts - Heyward has been outstanding this year; Runs, total bases, HR, RBI, BB, steals, OBP, SLG, are the catagories that Heyward currently leads all NL rookies in --

It could be an interesting race for NL ROY with Heyward, Leake, and Strasburg potentially all being in contention.

If Strasburg keeps up what he is doing and keeps getting these Wins he has a real shot but Heyward is on pace for some gaudy stats.

Gotta disagree with you fellas on this one. I don't have the exact numbers, but the J-Hey kid is hitting something like .187ish in his last 20 games, and seems like striking out in half of his at bats over that stretch, including 5 strikeouts against the Dodgers. Now don't get me wrong, I love that fukking kid (no homo), but as of now, I don't consider him the favorite.

Although I gotta add the kids got the baseball insticts you just can't coach. Great example of this was last night when he rounded third and just kept running through the stop sign while the Royals 2B wasn't really paying attention/slightly hurt. Without that run, odds are we would have lost.

I think they might shut down Strasburg at the end of the year if they don't have a chance to make the playoffs. So he might not even have 20 starts this year.

I think Stras will get it and Heyward will get shafted

like when Nomo got it ahead of Chipper back in the day

I'm not comparing Strassburg to Nomo though...
