Baxendale will bagel ASU again in the 12th, swagerty will have to pitch atleast 2-3 more shutout innings as the closer

From your last few posts, I have no clue who you were rooting for... lol

Very close game that was fun to watch, ASU is the favorite to win CWS

Clemson-Alabama Game 3 is at 1pm ET today. Over again would be the bet I would probably like the best today, but the total may be ridiculous after yesterday's 19-5 Clemson win. Went from 12 in Game 1 to 11 in Game 2. Expecting it to be at least 12 again. Alabama has the slight pitching edge today, but only if their starter gets deep into the game. They used a lot of pitchers yesterday.

                      ALABAMA-CLEMSON OVER 10.5 [-110]
Surprised at this line, so I am jumping on it. I believe the only reason for the DROP to 10.5 has to be due to Alabama starting their hottest pitcher in Nathan Kilcrease today. This 5'6" mighty mite has pitched three solid ballgames in the postseason for 'Bama. They won 6-3 when he started against Ole Miss in the SEC tournament. 11-2 against Elon in the Regionals and then he came on in relief, going the rest of the way in their 10-8 win over Georgia Tech to get them to the Supers. Clemson will counter with freshman Dominic Leone. For me, I expect runs again today. Clemson was obviously locked and loaded yesterday and would have probably had almost double their 4 run output on Friday if they could have come through with hits with RISP. The Tide have been consistent enough with 5 runs and I think they may find at least that many today against Leone who has an ERA just under 5 on the season.

I think if you're wanting a side, you'd have to think about the Tide at +160 with arguably their best pitcher right now. Only down side is Kilcrease spent most of the season in the bullpen as their best pitcher, so if he gets hit early - it could get ugly quick for Alabama. I also expect this total could rise to 11 if people pay attention to this game being an early start - most public plays I think would simply look at yesterday and bang the over. So if you like the over here, might jump on it now.

Don't feel so good about this over, bama pitcher is solid.

Thank you Bama! Thought it was gonna be just short again with lots of missed opportunities until the Tide rolled up a 5 spot in the 9th. Clemson's bats were red hot again today. Looking at tonight's game ...

                              OKLAHOMA-VIRGINIA UNDER 12 [-120]
This line is 11.5 at some places, but I found it at 12 which I like all the better. In this elimination game, you have two solid pitchers going at it. Bobby Shore for OU and freshman sensation Branden Kline for UVA. Shore was the MVP of the Oklahoma Regional last weekend as he pitched the Sooners past North Carolina in a 3-2 OU win. He also pitched the clinching game of the Big 12 Championship, allowing just 2 runs in 5+ IP. Kline has bounced back & forth from the bullpen to starting in some games [7 starts]. His starts have been impressive against quality competition as he pitched the elimination game against St.John's [5-3] last week that put UVA into the Super Regionals. He also pitched 5 quality innings in starts against Miami [5-4 loss] and Coastal Carolina [6-3 win]. Both teams should have the most important cogs in their bullpens available tonight, so if either starter slips early - there are capable pitchers to come in and stop the bleeding. OU's pitching has been pretty solid in the postseason. In 8 games, they have allowed three runs or less in 5 games. Virginia won last year in route to the CWS with solid pitching and timely hitting. Expecting an emphasis tonight on pitching and playing good defense.

UVA has not lost two straight games all season and I do expect them to win, but I can't bring myself to lay chalk at -220 in an elimination game.

First look at College World Series futures courtesy of 5Dimes:

                                  Arizona State +200
                                  UCLA +300
                                  Florida +500
                                  Florida State +600
                                  TCU +700
                                  Oklahoma +700
                                  South Carolina +1200
                                  Clemson +1400

Interesting prices because this field appears wide open. ASU certainly was going to be the lowest as they advanced as the #1 seed. The first "surprise" would be UCLA at a lower price than Florida who has a higher seeding - although I do think UCLA is the better team overall with more experienced players. Will be researching the next couple days to make some futures plays by Friday. First CWS games begin on Saturday with TCU-FSU & UCLA-Florida.
