Yes, as you can see (or read) I DO like to discuss baseball, props, and the general lines "out-there." Thanks for recognizing that ------- without an impersonal, threatening Personal MESSAGE--------'PPPRECIATE THAT!

However, until 'interleague play' is done, I really don't know what kernels of wisdom I can come-up with.......except that with tonight's performance (rain delay to help everybody get COLD), Charlie Morton (Pirates....ERA=9.00+) is the WORST pitcher in baseball----------'nuff said............at least for tonight!!!!!!

Well, for those of us baseball junkies out-there, how are we going to subsist on just 4 games, tonight? Ah, well, I suppose it's the price we must pay for overdosing on National T.V.'s Triple-Headers on Opening Day, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day.............

I'll have to try to manage my withdrawl tonight (knowing that the two DEADEST days of sports are coming-up----sandwiching-in MLB's All Star game in-between..........yes?

Boo-Hoo. Just not into tennis, soccer, or golf-that's all......................

"LOVE-FEST" vs. Reality

Although I've never "fallen-in-love" with Mr. Lincecum, I must confess that the more I watch highlights of his "stuff" in "mowing-down" the opposition, the more he reminds me of Randy Johnson reborn. Other than Halladay who gets his innings due to his "workhorse" ethics, Santana, who has been getting a little "scuffed-up" lately, and a few others, one could argue that only HE and another fella' named Josh Johnson are "HANDS_DOWN" the most dominant pitchers of late (this month).

And puhlease, if anybody feels the need to bring-up Dallas Braden's no-no, RETHINK: that stroke of luck from the gods came in the ONLY complete game of his this year.....................and unless I'm mistaken, of his big-league career...........might be mistaken 'bout that last part though................

Well, let's see how Timmy of the Giants does later-on, today, shall we?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the occasional thunderstorm doesn't "hold-up" the game today, the Tigers (and Verlander) could put-up another hurtin' on the As---------sooner or later, Robertson (Marlins) will get torched...being a former Tiger (whom I've watched being from Detroit's Metro area), there's a reason he was cast-off--------and, of course, as usual, keep an eye on Lincecum & see if he bounces back.

Interesting.........interesting......... .all those &quot;OVERS&quot;

For the first time----------in a mLOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGG time, we got a lot of "OVERS" in the games, tonight.....why???

Well, it wasn't the pitchers: Buerle, Hudson, etc. were hurlin'------literally, indeed.

So, what is it?!?

Two theories in play, if you will indulge me:

1- The weather: 'nuff said

2- The first 1/3rd of the season's in the books and IS DONE---pretty inconsequential (as BIG PAPPY has shown)......and now:

the game is ON!!!!!!!!!!

If I were a "big-leaguer," I don't see how, in a 162 game season, how you could NOT feel this way---yep.

You've got to pace yourself-------------all cliche's aside.........

Location vs. Speed

Yes, yes, yes.....speed is VERY important--------------however, I submit, as in the cases of Ubaldo, Braden, and NOW, Galarraga, that location is just a smidge more important-----------speed, as a HUGE, dominant factor seems to have been on a haitus ever since the great Randy Johnson...........

Danks-Stank!

Last year notwithstanding, I've been convinced that Danks (Black-Sox......ummmmm, I mean White Sox (sorry, just a century off the mark, there)) has corrected his deficiencies as a starting pitcher--------I mean, to date, he's surpassed Floyd & Peavy in just about every category.

However, I don't get it; what seemed to be a perfect storm for the Sox (vs. Cleveland on a long road-trip from Detroit with all that Galarraga drame, etc.) Danks threw 5 innings of shut-out ball & then the wheeeeeeeeeels came off............UGH!

No, I didn't have him on any fantasy league, tonight..........not at all..........no.........why would I do that?!?

Bullpen Blues, yet again...

When some of these MLB players look themselves in the mirror and ask the question, "Gee-Whiz, Wally, why are we a .500 ballclub (or worse)?" many of them will have to look no further then the "restaraunt-help" of the bullpen; case-in-point: with 2 outs in the top of the ninth, after yet another STELLAR outing from Josh Johnson (sporting a sub-2.00 e.r.a) I might add....."The wheels on the bus went round-and-round, round-and-round, round-and-round..." then
