What's your chalk limit in baseball?

I dont necessarily have a hard limit, but I typically will look at the run line when the chalk gets to the -160 range. So, artificially, around -160.

Once they get above -150ish, I start looking for other options, whether it be a -1RL, or occasionally parlaying two high juice teams together - I know deep down that it probably isn't the best move, but as a casual gambler it works just fine.

About -170. I don't often do over -150, either.

If I see a team +225 or higher, I almost always take them for a value play. For example, Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Same for hockey, really.

I have been at this game for a long time, it does not mean I am rite or that I know it all.! This poll was probably here because of the Phil. game. My limit is -150 maybe -160. What I am telling you all now has cost me tens of thousands of dollars. One will not be a successful handycapper untill one understands that a team + 200 has just as good a chance of winning as a team -200. I hope this helps some of you because it is true.!

If you look at games this way the dogs always looks better.

Team B +180


Risk $200 to win $100 on team A

Risk $200 to win $360 on team B


Same risk but the payout is 3.6 times higher.

That's about where i am at.....I diagnose a play and play it... I only get scarrrrred when it gets really really high......
I play alot of dogs though too....
