I have been at this game for a long time, it does not mean I am rite or that I know it all.! This poll was probably here because of the Phil. game. My limit is -150 maybe -160. What I am telling you all now has cost me tens of thousands of dollars. One will not be a successful handycapper untill one understands that a team + 200 has just as good a chance of winning as a team -200. I hope this helps some of you because it is true.!

-140.
With so many games a day, no need to play chalk too high.

If that were true, you could simply bet every underdog, win 50% of the time, and be FILTHY rich.

I answered "I don't have a chalk limit."
I can't actually remember the last time I laid more than -180 or so, but I don't rule a game out without looking at it. I believe that it is possible in very rare circumstances for a HUGE favorite to have value. In that case, I'd have no problem betting them.

No vote for me it varies...I think I am averaging around -160, but have gone as high as I would say -220/240 this year already.

You also should take into consideration that a lot of guys have a chalk limit set at 150, but are willing to drop $ on the RL for most those games in the 200 range when they dont want to spend the juice.

-145 is the most I've laid. When it gets in the -150's and higher I start thinking about the run line.

Guys that routinely play the -1.5 for bigger MLs are only making their bottom lines worse.

I am sure that it is known to all cappers that underdogs win 44% of the time and 70% of MLB games is won by more then 1 run.

If you are going to bet heavy chalk, never do it in baseball.

-155...Don't like to go much higher, But from time to time I may hit up a -200(once this season), or play the run line on that. But normally -155 is my limit, but usually play around -120

Usually if it is above -170 I will split the bet so it is played as -1, unless it is on a team with awful bats. If I had a bigger bankroll I would probably go higher than that.

-150 usually unless a line is way off and I see major value in going higher
