But it doesnt seem that easy. Everyone knows there was 17 runs scored yesterday, now they are gonna try to get the same people that cashed on the over yesterday plus get the people who bet the under yesterday and "learned their lesson"

I agree but books screw up too. I want to go with the Over based on yesterday but 14.5 is craziness to me-looking for easier meat. Cheers

Can Cubs score any runs? Arizona got all the runs yesterday. Again either take the Over or leave it alone.
If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!

I have a natural instinct to exploit market ineffieciencies!!

very very windy today..... lost my hat a few times

remember Wells is a great hitter.... former catcher in the minor leagues.... so you got a little extra oopmh in the lineup

I do realize that the books make mistakes at times. Subsequently, there's no reason why this game couldn't go Under, of course it could. All I'm trying to say is that when you see a line that seems out of whack it's usually because the books are on to something that the general public doesn't know.

I'm sure that people who have been around here a long time see this time and time again when the average poster is saying, "this line is too high, there's no way there will be that many runs, you gotta take the under."

The Under seems like the smart play here (hence it's the square play). The Over is therefore the sharp play.

Now, for the record, I'm not a big baseball fan or capper..... I'm just trying to point out the fact that when something doesn't seem right, it usually is.

that is an extremely SQUARE categorization, esp coming from an Illinois native...

cubs are raking..... EXCEPT for ARAM and DLEE....

everyone else is well over .300, except for alphonso, but even he is hitting .270ish under Rudy's tutelage....

so the question you gotta ask yourself do you want to take the under on a day like this, when you know that 6 of the guys in the cubs lineup are hot...and the other 2...well they can still hit a long fly ball in slump right? Only need about a 275 foot lazy flyball to clear the fence on a day like today...

I see Aram and Dlee combining for 2 hr's today...

Totally agree-obviously the books make their cash being right far more than wrong. Neither am i that experienced with baseball-can't wait for NFL but just looking at the numbers for this game it will be a play to make records (good or bad). Cheers

I don't think the smart play is the over here, wind or not. The smart play in this case is no play.

Cubs have lost 3 in a row. I like them at 2pm
Chicago (10-13) will counter with Randy Wells (2-0, 2.49), who has given up
two runs or fewer in three of his four starts. The right-hander earned a win
in his last outing, allowing two runs and striking out six in seven innings
as Chicago beat Milwaukee 12-2 on Sunday.

lol. I took under FUKUDOME told me he didnt eat his wheaties this morning.

IMO, FUKUDOME 1 jersey is the best you can buy.

Only play is to parlay the Cubs with the under (+218). that way if the Cubs win they dont use the bottom on the 9th and they put out Marmol in the top of the 9th. So a very good chance of a scoreless inning.
