Well I already posted about Reyes a few days ago after he was a hot streak. So no offense to the person that started this thread but he is far from done.

But one of the dumbest things ever was for Manuel to think he is a number 3 hitter and to compound problems by switching him to 3rd while coming off a injury plagued season.

even when he was playing awful to start the year (after missing 11 months of baseball due to an injury) everyone except remmy knew this thread was stupid and pointless, the man is an all-star, he may not be as good as hanley but he sparks the mets offense and with him out of the lineup they are a completely different team. He is a Top 3 SS. (Hanley, Tulo, Reyes)

My only complaint is he loves chasing sliders off the plate, ala David Wright. He also is too aggressive early in the count. Wish he'd take more pitches or become more skilled at fouling off tough pitches.

Somebody is going to pay him, and regret the last 5 years of it.

Players that suddenly have a spike in production during contract years, are traps for square GM's. In other words, if Reyes was not currently on the Mets then the Mets would be planning to overpaid for him as a free agent in 2012.

Just wondering how is he such a bust when he is second in the MLB in batting average (leading the NL) and stolen bases. As a Mets fan I will just say, if thats shitty than I don't know what is good but I will take it.
