Actually, come to think of it, is anybody hitting over .667 this year? I think we should just cancel the season. Clearly nobody is at the professional level.

Actually a SS with the ability to hit 15-20 HRs and steal 60-70 bases is without question a top 5 fantasy player when healthy.

yea i hate .667 hitters vs the back to back cy young winner, and stealing 2 bases? thats just awful, cant he just go 5 for 5 like every other shortstop in the MLB, i mean shortstops supposed to be the best hitter on the team anyways. God Reyes please just stop.

Really though, this threads ridiculous, reyes is fine, i hope he gets moved back to the leadoff spot soon hes starting to hit steal and score. So he should be out of the majors soon i guess.

Reyes is a BUM! The real SS in NY is the "KING" Derrick Jeter (Now thats a real SS--His whole hand has Bling on it)
Now he is getting ready to put some bling on the next hand.

You'd think you could spell the "king's" name right. He's only been around for over 15 years now.

The Mets have been battling injuries for the past few years. Since last year's injury, Jose's performance is significantly below par. If indeed this Slump carries over thru out June, one may assume his career has come a crashing halt. Until then, I think he should hit as the lead off batter.

hahahaha thought the same exact thing, there has been 0 speculation about this. Actually im quite confident his last 2 games since returning to leadoff hes 3 for 9 and been hitting more line drives. Whats your grudge against reyes? every time he has a bad game his career goes into question?

Hitting .250 on a .500 team. Pretty sure you'd have to agree that more was expected from him.

                                              is his career over yet?
9 game hit streak ended last night during which he was hitting over .400 during, 7 multi hit games led the mets to a 7-2 record and leads the team with 12 steals and has raised his average 40 points over the past 2 weeks. Career is far from over.

hes got like 13 or 14 this year and it took him a bit to get back to himself. Hell probably be more like 45-50 for future years though.

yeah... his #'s for May were HORRIBLE:

                                                            34-128 (.272 BA)...7 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR and 15 RBI's... 8 steals.

Its not MVP #'s but its not bad for his first full month in over a year.

My point was that he was once a top 5 fantasy guy. Any SS with a decent avg 15 HRs and 60-70 SBs is a top 5 type guy.

While your at it make one that says Johan Santana's career is over, he can use a a nice stretch too.
